  1. Both away to play off contenders and us at home to a team fighting relegation. I think that's just good sound logic to be fair haha. We should absolutely win, it'd be criminal if we didn't. The other 2 are probably a coin flip - a three sided coin flip.
  2. By the FAs rules it should be 6 point deduction then? Not much excuse for playing a suspended player.
  3. Wow - just reading and apparently any points gained should be taken off according to the FA. Did they lose the game in question?
  4. The Ks have finally released their debut album and it's a banger!
  5. If you're wanting a better defender then Coady isn't your man. If he gets any significan game time I can guarantee the tune will change on him pretty quickly.
  6. How does it affect planning though if they know they'll have a minimum revenue coming in? Unless you're planning to run your business poorly and at a loss then the punishment doesn't really matter does it?
  7. Clubs playing in Europe would still have to adhere to UEFA's FFP rules I imagine. Which obviously makes no sense - but I wouldn't count on logic being factored into decision making
  8. The fact that instead of wanting to control exorbitant spending (which is the obvious fix) they want to loosen the rules so clubs can spend more exorbitantly is just wild. It really shows that they don't give a damn about the game and just want to milk it for as much money as possible.
  9. Unless they change the amount of income that we're guaranteed, the rules have literally no effect as long as we're not spending beyond our means.
  10. Whatever they do - I'd probably recommend deciding what is punishable and agreeing on punishments beforehand.
  11. I look forward to us running up massive losses paying random 28-31 year olds 80k a week to sit in the crowd because they're not good enough to get into our squad On the plus side - this will accelerate the destruction of football in the country
  12. You can't really lack spine over something you have no control over. You can have confidence or a lack of confidence in someone to do a job. I wonder if our Rudders have a similar philosophy. Financial director: "You're spending far too much money and the club is going to fail to comply with FFP/PSR." Rudkin and Whelan: "Ohhh you've not got any bottle lad. If you just believe in us then maybe we'll be fine"
  13. I'd much rather ownership that loses £100m a year and takes a team from the cusp of Champions league to the championship and financial sanctions. Throw in the free donuts and beer and you've got the best. Add to that the fact that they stonewall the fan base and barely refuse to make acknowledge of any errors. How can you not want more of this? Financial troubles? Don't worry we'll spend 18 million on a striker and defender that we don't even need.
  14. Add to this - he stated that Connor Coady was no longer in contention for the squad as he had dropped down to the championship. This was when he was talking about the very same squad in which Jordan Henderson who has moved to Saudi Arabia had been selected. Genuinely my most loathed England manager of all time. I haven't watched an England game outside of a major tournament in ages. I can barely muster the interest to watch us in a major tournament under him to be honest.
  15. 25 in the summer - coming into his prime. Not really done anything of note in his career. Give him 100k a week and a 5 year contract!
  16. Regularly being in and around the top 8 is success though. 3 teams can win something every season. Although if Man City are arsed then its more like 1. Anyone that looks at success as a black and white thing will be basing their opinions essentially on the luck of cup runs and one off performances rather than consistency over a long period of time. Ive been reading madness from similar people, who have been trying to diminish Klopps work because he happened to be around at exactly the same time as Pep and Man City.
  17. I guess their supporters actually stood up and put a stop to the super leagues. Maybe if we go to the KP/Seagrave and smash up the fax machines and Rudkin's office then we'll be looked on as kindly?
  18. It's a joke that the top 4 can't go up automatically tbh. It's also ridiculous that 3 teams have to go down when there's clearly only 1 team that's not good enough.
  19. They pretty much started playing better when it started. If anything it fired the players up. There's only so much you can chant and back a team that continually lets you down. It's not a particularly effective long or even mid-term strategy, but watching the game on TV it seemed to have a clearly visible positive impact on the teams performance.
  20. Garth Crooks picked it?
  21. It's been on a steady downward trend since 2019-2020 I think. We were in such a good position that we're now only seeing the results of errors made. Top is showing absolutely no sign or indication that he's accepting errors have been made. We'll continue to make errors and continue to weaken until action is taken.
  22. I've highlighted the flaw in your plan
  23. These are their signings this summer...this doesn't strike me as a team that are abandoning their principles. De Zerbi has been in the media a few times talking about frustration in the market. Brighton have their way of working - if the coach doesn't like it then he will be free to leave I imagine. This is how to do it. What you don't do is abandon your principles, letting a jumped up little egomaniac keep giving pay rises to the squad so they like him and start signing "project" players on massive money.
