  1. Didn’t know about that. Fair enough (not that I was being overly critical, just surprised!)
  2. The only falling out rumour was between Rudkin and his right hand John Morris (Wasserman) who is Enzo and KDH agent (amongst others)
  3. 4-4-2 out of possession suggests to me that we need one of the midfield 3 to be an attacking mid who can play on the left or right when needed (Bilal/Facu/Alves?) I think the "2" will really suit Mavididi too who has played centrally a lot in his career. Suggests pressing and breaking with pace too, releasing Mav et all quickly in the transition.
  4. Should have never been a Cooper tactics thread to be fair
  5. Didn't quite realise all the Malaga links, must have passed me by! Pelligrini has had some real influence over the years hasn't he!
  6. He's been sacked mate....
  7. Top has gone home by the way, find it quite odd he's not going to be there for Ruud's first game to be honest, especially after being here for this long anyway.
  8. You'd like to think Owen Palmer Moore_94 would still share it with us....
  9. He's currently trapped in Rudkins basement
  10. Have you applied yet Rene?
  11. I just felt that 'spoke to after Chelsea' implied when they were together, face to face. You could well be right. I also think the 'I met the owner twice in London' is telling as top arrived 3 days earlier than usual for a game visit so I think he's met him the week before our Chelsea game and obviously last week too. I imagine we had that first meeting as he was being inundated with offers after Man Utd
  12. "I spoke to Enzo after Chelsea" .... on the 3rd of November Blimey that's going to sting for Cooper.
  13. But but but.... family club
  14. Yes you've put it much better than me as usual I think I made a point a post or so after about one of the wing backs essentially playing in midfield on the build up. Intruigued either way, i'm looking forward to tomorrow night and i've not felt like that since last season.
  15. That meme about "I will learn from Russell Martin" is getting better and better each week
  16. Could say that about any formation, especially a back 3/5 that's just seen us get trounced? For what it's worth, I don't think he will knock the confidence of the out of form players, in fact I think he'll put an arm round them and try and make them look better in his system (instant brownie points!) Mads Justin/Kasey (one of his big things at PSV was a roaming wing back) Vesty Okoli Kristiansen Wilf Skipp Alves (you never know....) Bounanote Vardy Mav
  17. Perhaps. I can see him giving Kasey a start and putting an arm round him, seems like his sort of player.
  18. Not sure why anyone is bothering with these back 3/5 line ups. He's Dutch, they have one system, one ethos, he will stick to it, that's why he's be brought in as the players liked that about Enzo. It'll be 4-3-3 He will want us to press
  19. Wind your neck in Finnegan
  20. I'm going to stick my neck out here and defend Dawson. He's a highly respected youth team coach and has also had a spell as a technical director. He was brought in by the club as piss poor planning meant we sacked all of our 'club coaches' and replaced them with Enzos team. All clubs need a coach who is there to aid transitions between managers. He's never managed a senior game of football in his life (on his own), and was thrown in against a team who could beat anyone at home and score for fun. The line up was horrendous and the tactics didn't work, there's no escaping that, but there's absolutely no way we should be sacking someone based on taking charge of one game and having no one around to support him. This is, as with many of the decisions, on the clubs head. I hope he stays on, we could make use of him as a technical director or back at what he does best as a coach of young players.
  21. He’s the new Big Banter Ben
  22. Have you applied or something?!?
  23. Came in the summer when we realised we needed a “club coach”
  24. I think Darren Fletcher will come in, in some capacity, hopefully the technical director Ruud has requested. Other delays likely mean more Dutch coaches who need Visas like ruud.
  25. Ohhhhh so it took so long because we had to get the work experience a passport….
