Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Does that mean the defenders weren’t allowed to make any effort to stop it? -
Utterly horrific tactics from Leeds. Got the quickest trickiest players in the league but played slow build up possession football in the one game they should have given saints possession and hit them on the break! Southampton must of been laughing, never had to be under pressure on the ball Farke does not deserve to manage that team next season.

He’d make a great manager. But also he’s a well spoken handsome bastard so he’ll also make a fortune in punditry.
-
Just spotted the title of the video. It’s internal… that’s interesting!!
-
Haha it’s an adidas shoot isn’t it?
-
Quite a loud pattern that for a home kit, but I like it overall. Shows we are still deciding on commercials
-
I don’t think he’s signed to Wasserman
-
Heitinga is an intriguing one. Steadied the Ajax ship whilst they were imploding Wasn't mentioned in West Ham's new manager announcement today in terms of whether he would be part of the team either.
-
This will be our shortlist, no need to discuss. Similar to last summer. Supplied directly to John by John. Carlos Vicens Anthony Barry Graham Potter Ronald Koeman Johnny Heitinga Steven Gerrard Oscar Garcia
-
My only thought of why he wouldn't go. Is that all he has to do this season is do slightly better than Vinny Kompany and Peps job is his in a year. Would be much harder to move from Chelsea to Man City.
-
The advantage is this being the absolute perfect time for it to happen. Get it wrapped up by the end of the week and we'll be fine. The concern if it was in pre season is that we no longer have 'LCFC' staff. The entire coaching staff is Enzo's team. At the time this was good because we finally good rid of deadwood. But if we were left with no one during pre season.... knowing how long it takes us to hire someone new, would be horrific. Potter stands out given the size of his backroom staff, would be a like for like swap in terms of the roles we need to fill.

I'd be devestated if we never get to see Gasperini in the Prem.
-
To be fair to the absolute keyboard nonce... he posted a lot about us last summer
-
He looks a completely different person, never mind player. Completely different build. Fair play to him must have put a lot of effort in
-
Talk me through why then? I’ve seen a few responses of this nature. But why “not a chance in hell” given he… currently works for a club our owners own… John Morris is his agent and…. He is desperate to give it another shot in England.
-
Why on earth does he choose to rock up at OHL though? He had a few tough gigs in France but definitely enough credit in the bank in europe from his Salzburg days to get him a better job than that. Just smacked of "Come here, get your win percentage up and we'll be able to sell you in to the Leicester fans"... but it hasn't worked out so far
-
Sorry i'd referenced KDH too in the original post Yeah I wouldn't be thrilled either, but I certainly wouldn't be cut up. Probably more likely be Oscar Garcia though.... again... it all just seems so planned.
-
Of course he is. You have to bear in mind his agent is also our main guy though... hence my post about it being staged. I don't think anyone would be upset about a scenario that see's Chelsea help us out of an FFP hole, Potter come here as manager and maybe get a loan player out of Chelsea as well.
-
Football seems so staged these days doesn't it. We need 10m. Chelsea have it to burn. Our main agent... who is Enzo's agent... who gave Chelsea Potter (and is now even more rich)... picks up the phone "Yoooo hooooo me again, got another sucker for you" End result... We get Potter. So he gets a double win. Client roundabout continues. KDH probably goes to Chelsea

Trippier has just gone off after 38 mins in Newcastle's nonsense friendly
-
It would be a BIG gamble, especially on fitness. But Ryan Sessegnon is available for free this summer. Surely someone can bring out that original talent!
-
Beerschot are in the Sheffield United group of clubs aren't they?
-
Speak to the players don't they.
-
I'm all for extreme progression. But Quansah was playing averagely for Bristol Rovers on league 1 last season...
