They own it, they make their players accountable. "Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again!". Inspired turn around against us. Unlike our shrinking violets.
-
Sorry, just projecting of what has been and gone before. Matching silly nonsense cliched soundbites like for like. Anxiety and/or PTSD if you will. We've seen how this one ends one to many times.
-
"I'm out of work currently" Nige has just made a come and get me plea!
-
We'll be fine. That's the beauty of it.
-
Ah Nige! Just hearing his voice makes me happy.
-
Tbf we probably did shoot more today, you're right. Certainly the odd instances and occasions you speak of today, is exactly what I want to see. Generally and throughout the season? It's been all about walking in the perfect goal. Slow and intricate.
-
Oh there's luck but you make your own luck. They shoot. A gust a wind isn't going to magically lift the ball through the air and find itself heading towards goal for us like you make it sound like it does for Ipswich. An even better and more realistic analogy - We're not going to pass the ball backwards or sideways and a gust of wind take it goalwards.
-
It pains me to praise McKenna after I made such a fuss of one his quotes saying Rodgers is his inspiration but no, no they don't. They shoot.
-
Who'd have thought?! But what about "control"?!!
-
And that's the beauty of it.
-
Oh do me a favour! I'm not having any of this woe-is-me attitude. Ipswich score goals. Why? Because they ****ing shoot as opposed to us playing "pretty" football and trying to walk it in scoring the "perfect" goal. Ipswich are where they are on merit, not because they're "lucky" and "everything is going for them". They have a go.
-
I know that but that is genuinely how some people think. Ignore whatever we do (or don't do), ignore any of our own shortfalls and simply blame/focus on what others are doing.
-
Ipswich winning. Bastards! Not doing us any favours! How dare they.
-
I mean I was joking, just bring up tiresome quotes, drivel and experiences that got thrown at the likes of me last season regardless of whether it's a good point or not.
-
But as I keep saying (And I openly admit it's based on agenda) this style in mind isn't conducive with rolling your sleeves up, putting in the hard graft and doing the dirty work It's all about "pretty" football, the "perfect" goal, walking it in the net, admiring 5 yard tippy tappy passes. Now I appreciate that will come across as a "Gerrit Forward", "Smash em", "Hussle and bussle" type attitude and mentality, that's not right either, there is no right or wrong, but you need a mix. Passing with some conviction instead of pathetic 5 yard tippy tappy passes would be a start. Besides there is nothing "pretty" about possession football and how we're currently playing. It stinks.

"Yeah but you just say these things so that when it goes wrong you can say 'Told ya so!' " *Sarcasm*....but some people would genuinely claim that's what you're doing To those people, no one is taking any pleasure at what's unfolding, but if warning signs, red flags are there they need to be discussed, if those warning signs and red flags unfold and transpire to happen of which they generally do perhaps something should have been done when they were first mentioned rather than burying heads in the sand.

Yet he's the one that get's mocked and called a dinosaur all in the name of football snobbery. Now, Warnock's not a fit for us neither am I saying he is or his style is what we need per se but the football snobbery is disgusting and pisses me off when the "modern manager" (Not just Enzo, the modern manager) is so often stubborn and won't change their "philosophies" to the point they throw their toys out the pram threatening to leave and some people lap it up.

As well as not seeing the old chestnut of "We can't afford to", where's the "Who you going to replace him with?!". I'm still seething with a passive aggressive little jumped up **** that (literally) got in my face last season shouting "Who you gonna replace him with! Who you gonna replace him with! Who you gonna replace him with!" and before I could get a word in or respond had already ran off.

We've been found out. Now the moment, literally the moment, we were "found out" after our title win, we immediately ripped it up and went down the road of becoming a possession based team by instruction of powers that be at the head of this club, we've never mastered it, we've always been found out playing this way, it's rarely successful in the long run and we still persist with it. It's too easy to play against. When are we gonna try something different?
-
I seem to remember it was a struggle to get over the line for a week or two, dot the i's and cross the t's, but not sure it was the wobble to this extent or anything of the like, the difference being I don't think Pearson would stand for the kind of mentality. Not from so far clear anyway?! I mean we won the league by 7 points, can't see us winning the league let alone by 7 points. By my own admission I seem to blame everything on style of play, but this style of play certainly doesn't seem to be conducive to the kind of mentality needed. Sometimes you've gotta roll your sleeves up.
-
Has there been any examples of a team so clear, looking so comfortable, having a wobble late on, being caught and still going up? We're an anomaly. We're a fucking social experiment.
-
Plenty of sayings "....in the face of adversity" Our club doesn't do well under adversity though, not for many years.
-
First and foremost I'd love a raucous, intimidating (For the opposition) atmosphere. If people are pissed off, I wouldn't mind some toxicity, in hope it'd push the players on to think "**** you, have some of this, prove people wrong" attitude. It'll be neither. People sat on their hands. A slog as you say, no good for anyone.

Hit the nail on the head.

Never known such a disconnect or divisive nature since the shift towards possession based football. Not just Leicester (Mainly Leicester) but football in general. Not many people I talk to enjoy it (Leicester fans and fans of other clubs), but that aside, of course there has always been discussion and arguments, but I've genuinely never known such toxicity, vitriol and infighting, yes I have an agenda against the style but the style is very much my only reasoning towards it.
