Apologise for what? Even if he became the player we hoped he would (and I'm not holding my breath), if you had said that he was crap up until now, that would have been perfectly justified, because he has been. If anything, he should be apologising for the previous four years.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
murphy replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Really? That's a dirty shame. Gutted for him. -
I said it was an opportunity wasted in as much as we knew this team would struggle so we needed to buy better than we already had and improve it. Ordinarily I would approve of a 'return to type' as you put it, but under the circumstances this year, I don't think we have the luxury of buying potential for the future. We needed to improve the team for the here and now.

This might well be true but we had £65m worth of summer signings on the bench. In other words, we have blown the budget without improving the team which is criminal. Yes, it was a summer signing that came off the bench and saved the day but the value that we have got for the other £60m is very poor. Opportunity wasted.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

We went from Soule to Zaha and ended up with Jordan bloomin' Ayew. It's no wonder it was an uninspiring signing, but he has proven to be very useful. I hold my hands up. -
Ipswich must be wondering what on earth they have to do to get a win. 13 points dropped from winning positions. Has to be demoralising.

My main gripe with Cooper was his team selection and his bus parking tactics. Now, I think you might be right. Although I still think Cooper is a duffer but maybe, its just that we're not that good and a change of manager might not miraculously change our fortunes. I dunno. -

Nobody has lost more points from winning positions (11 I think) than Ipswich. Just saying. -

Would you expect a manager to single a player out in public? He's just being diplomatic.
-
He's had 48 chances. If he's such a 'decent, decent player' where is the queue of clubs willing to take him off our hands? We can't give him away.
-
Arrogance? Are you kidding? Just go back and read the first page of this thread and see how many people are backing a Ipswich win. Then, when you've done that, sod off back to your own forum.

Suspect goalkeeper you say? Today could be your lucky day. We may just have the answer to your prayers... Please... Celtic-Hoops-Bhoys-SPFL-Danny-Ward-Leicester-Premier-League-Wales-Euro-2020-Ange-Postecoglou.avif

Does that mean he is half-decent?

It basically just hit him on the foot. I'm not sure that he even knew anything about it. -
No I'm not. Don't know how you've come to that conclusion.

I was talking about the team.

Post match - Man Utd Carabao Cup - 5-2 loss
murphy replied to jim5000's topic in Leicester City Forum
I didn't see the game, but my reaction to tonight is just a shrug. Who cares. I know the Cooper out movement is a runaway train and I've got a first class ticket, but no point getting upset about tonight. No manager in the world takes that XI to Old Trafford and wins. Write it off. -
So the expectations of an established Premier League team are different to those of a newly promoted one.

Also Skipp, whilst being a half decent player, was not what we needed. A real head-scratcher that one. We overspent and that money could have been better spent on our many more pressing weaknesses in other areas of the team.
