  1. This is really bugging me. I don't get it?
  2. Dear FT top brass. Please may we have a thumbs down button? Yours faithfully, murphy
  3. If you are a Leicester fan, the neighbouring counties to your club are Nottingham, Derby and Warks (Cov). We don't have to bother with Northampton or Lincoln. Their clubs become our main derby rivals whether they like to acknowledge it or not and that develops over time. It doesn't matter where your house is. It doesn't matter if you live in Burbage or in Baghdad, that is irrelevant. I shouldn't have to explain how the whole pantomime works.
  4. I don't see how that can be an argument when heading the ball is part of the game. Ridiculous.
  5. Anyone remember this. Free kick given to opposition (Everton I think, could be wrong). Player (Barmby I think, could be wrong) grabs the ball out of Kevin Poole's ( I think) arms as he stands on edge of the box. Puts the ball down and chips into an empty net. Goal. I cant believe that was given
  6. As I recall the semi would have been against Chesterfield and then boro in the final, so def winnable had we got past cheating Chelsea. There was zero contact between Elliott and Johnson. My Chelsea supporting brother in law tried to justify it by saying it was 'evasive action' rather than a dive 😀. We got our revenge mind. Thanks VAR
  7. Beat me to it. And several stonewall pens turned down. The only match I've ever been to where I think I witnessed corruption rather than incompetence from the officials.
  8. Atletico Madrid at home. O'Neil era. Didn't that ref get done for corruption or something.
  9. So Palace have had over £16m out of us for an ageing Jordan Ayew and Edouard bloomin' Scissorfeet.
  10. Aah the good old days when all we had to moan about was the weak link that was Ayoze Perez. He frustrated hell out of me for on the one hand being so ineffectual but also because he was the one remaining piece of the jigsaw for that team and we got it badly wrong. Thanks Brendan. Imagine where we might be now if we had got that signing right and qualified for Champions League. So, in short, our current predicament and everything in between is still Ayoze Perez' fault.
  11. OK. Didn't know that. I suppose it could have been worse. We could have bought him outright when we were in for him. Thank goodness we got patson daka instead 😬
  12. That can't be true, surely? The average wage at Crystal Palace (24-25) is £53,700. That's according to some website I just looked at, so it must be true. I don't think Palace are known for paying high wages and if it were true, I hardly think they would have extended this duffer's contract in the summer. Otherwise, not only have they had our pants down, but they've had their own pants down too. edit... On the other hand...this from the same website...
  13. Yes, this is true, but it is also true that many of us can see red flag signings coming that the club seemingly cannot. Bertrand and Vestergaard spring to mind, replacing Chilwell with Castagne, any of Cooper's signings and Ayoze Perez, just off the top of my head. Actually I might have been in a minority on that last one but he was never good enough for our ambitions at the time.
  14. Are people on this thread trying to play forest at their own game? The 'I don't care game'? Let me remind you that as a Leicester fan, you have certain duties and responsibilities. Among them, is to maintain a certain antipathy toward Derby and Forest. I mean this is page one of the manual ffs.
  15. I don't even know who would be favourites for this one
  16. I don't think I'm overstating it when I say that it would be a perversion, an affront to nature and an abomination in the eyes of the lord. It is also not going to happened so I'm not that bothered. I'm more bothered that this thread exists at all and will be giving Forest fans a good laugh at our expense.
  17. If that's true (I haven't watched it) then that's good news as it is easily remedied. New RB.
  18. So, the way to counter the problem of becoming a victim of your own success is to sell an asset every summer. The way to do that is to buy or develop youth with potential and with high ceilings. It only seems five minutes ago that we had a team full of such assets - that is until Rodgers changed the model.
  19. I don't remember Kante's signing being lambasted either. As I recall, his stats were off the charts in France and he needed some convincing to come here, we had to fight Marseille for him and we were pleased to get him. I think Ranieri's appointment is a better example of when fans get it wrong. That could be a thread of all of its own. Back to the Edouard loan, I seem to remember Sheff Utd sending back Luke Thomas, I thought that any club could terminate a loan deal, unless our loan agreement has been Rudkined?
  20. Looking at the title of this thread, it strikes me that at least we now have a past. For most of our history we've had nothing much to shout about.
  21. Sometimes I wonder if there are people that wish the title had never happened. It blows my mind that in a thread bemoaning that we don't moan enough there seems to be such an appetite for moaning that we're even moaning about been shown footage of us winning the title. Close thread. OP's premise is redundant. We are a right bunch of whiny tossers.
  22. I don't know about living in the past but I think some people have been living in a cupboard under the stairs if they think that Leicester fans aren't critical. Even during the good times. From wanting the Don sacked (correct decision in my view but misunderstood by the wider football world) to booing substitute players onto the pitch. We have a reputation among some as being entitled, which I don't agree with, but to get there we must have been a critical fan base.
  23. We also had Mahrez, Wes, Cambiasso and Jamie Vardy about to enter his prime.
  24. Skipp isn't a £20m player.
  25. I stand corrected.
