  1. It will end May 2026 when we narrowly miss out on the play offs.
  2. This match was crying out for El Khanouss to start after an underwhelming debut. He needs to get some minutes and confidence.
  3. Very few, if any, have actually written him off have they? Just said he was poor on Saturday which is fair enough. I think that the irony is that some of our more aggressive posters are just a bit quick to write off their fellow posters as 'dick heads'.
  4. Put him straight in against Walsall. We need to get his motor running. Right now, we don't have the luxury of developing players for the future. With the lack of creativity in our squad, that 20 mil needed to be spent on a player that would improve us straight away.
  5. I had reservations about the prospect of trying to Maresca our way through the PL myself and I was indifferent to his leaving. I didn't know much about Cooper when he was appointed but he has just lost me with the negativity and lack of belief. I think we can do much better with the handbrake off. I guess my feeling toward Cooper would be best put by saying that it is one thing to fail to beat Everton at home, but it is quite another to not even try to beat Everton at home.
  6. On a personal level, I feel sorry for Cooper. He must feel that he hasn't been given any chance at all, but the trouble is, we can't afford to give too much of a chance to a manager that is afraid to win.
  7. You're right that we have been competitive, at least in terms of scorelines, but there are two ways of looking at this. You could see it as a positive and that Cooper is managing to get a tune out of this squad, or you could see it shows that the squad is probably good enough to stay up and capable of more but is being held back by Cooper's negative team selections and tactics.
  8. When he made attacking subs, he took an attacker off to make way for them.
  9. Cooper has done well to ensure that at only one nil down, we are still in the game going into half time. We need to put Coady and Choudhury on second half to protect the match situation.
  10. Enzo is such an amateur. Everybody knows you bring on three defenders and another goalkeeper when you go two up.
  11. I like KDH but he was never good enough for a club with title and Champion's League aspirations. We did well out of the transfer.
  12. And an injured one at that.
  13. I know... Imagine having a Forest supporting mate
  14. Because Cooper wants a right back to fill in with the 2 cbs making a three in possession. Justin is probably more suited to that role even though Ricardo is the better player overall.
  15. You're right, we have no right to turn up at Palace and expect to win, but I don't think that is the problem being discussed here. The problem is that having got ourselves ahead we invited Palace on to us and conceded possession, territory and threat with no outlet leading to the inevitable late equaliser.
  16. I feel a bit sorry for Justin as it seems to me that he is being criticised for fulfilling the role that Cooper has given him. I'm not a football hipster, so correct me if I'm wrong, but in possession, Cooper asks Justin to sit in with the two centre halves to form a three. For that reason, he is likely preferred to Ricardo. Then he gets criticised for not coming forward and also criticised for being to narrow. Meanwhile, with Justin sitting, Kristiansen is given licence to push forward and join the attack with the left winger drifting in field. I don't really understand why we don't allow either full back to push forward, depending on which flank we are attacking, while the other one sits. I would then play Ricardo as rb and Justin lb.
  17. We didn't lose. It just feels like we did.
  18. I think that Justin is preferred to Ricardo defensively as his role is to sit in, in possession and form a three with Faes and Okoli with Kristiansen given licence to bomb forward and the left winger tucks in as a 10. That is how I understand it anyway, for the benefit of everyone questioning Justin's position.
  19. If we all adopted that logic, then Boris Johnson would still be PM.
  20. I think that Cooper needs to come out and explain what he is trying to achieve tactically because there is a growing disconnect with the fans regarding this over-cautious, shackled set up. Maybe we're missing something. Personally, I'd rather go down fighting than set up for Crystal Palace as if they're Real Madrid.
  21. If it's 0-0 after 75 mins, Cooper will bring on Choudhury and Soumare to see it out.
  22. It is possible to believe that Skipp is a decent player AND that we over paid for him. Not only did we overpay but we blew the budget on a position in which we were already well stocked. I think that it would have been better spent where the team is weakest. I think it was also a bit of a depressing buy because it signals Cooper's intention to play a block of DMs, even at home and that paucity of ambition is going to cost us. None of that is criticism of the player himself.
  23. I agree. We need to have some balance and we're not going to win many games if we divest the team of our best attacking options and our best chances to score. It's like we have escaped a points deduction only to enforce one on ourselves. If we go down setting the team up in this almost cowardly way, we will never know if we could have stayed up if we had played to our strengths.
  24. I think its the way that Cooper is using his squad that some of us have found alarming.
