  1. They were never planning to leave the PL. The Super League was instead of UEFA's Euro leagues as they wanted to keep all the proceeds of Euro football themselves and not let UEFA have any. PL + Super League = Pure Greed.

  4. https://eflanalysis.com/news/the-next-leicester-city-manager-is-set-to-be-handed-a-major-transfer-boost-despite-psr-setback/ Leicester won’t need a ‘fire sale’ after PSR issues EFL Analysis expert Graeme Bailey has revealed that despite the off-field issues, Leicester won’t need to be forced into a fire sale and could therefore hold on to talents like Ben Nelson, who is wanted by Chelsea. Bailey said: “I’m told that PSR-wise, they probably won’t have to sell. “The parachute payments help. I don’t think they’ll have to sell massively. And everyone in that Leicester squad has a contract that sees their wages reduced [after relegation], so that helps, too. They’re hoping there’s a bounce factor in that they can go straight back up. “Their plan is to go straight back. So, I don’t necessarily think it’ll be like a fire sale or anything.”

The striker left Ghanaian side Accra Lions for IF Brommapojkarna in January and has scored five goals from 12 games so far. Leicester have taken notice of his performances and sent an official to Sweden to watch him live. That’s according to Expressen, relayed by Fotboll Transfers, and they cover the English club’s interest in the 19-year-old. The report states the Foxes could make an offer for the Ghanian, without mentioning any figures. They have been relegated from the Premier League and have to look for a new striker to replace Jamie Vardy, who will leave the King Power Stadium at the end of this season. Leicester aren’t alone as clubs from the Premier League and the Championship are also following the frontman. This is reported by Sportbladet, who state the Swedish club could also receive bids from these clubs in the upcoming window. In other words, the Foxes have to be wary of the competition from England.
  6. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/russell-martin-would-obvious-free-10204907 By Jordan Blackwell Former Southampton boss Martin is the favourite to take over and has been prominently linked to the position. If he were to arrive, a move for Swansea centre-back Harry Darling would make sense. Darling, out of contract with the Swans this summer and so available on a free transfer, has twice been signed by Martin, first for MK Dons and then for Swansea in a deal worth more than £1m. The 25-year-old is confident in possession, fitting Martin’s preferred style, and ranks highly for progressive passes and for carrying the ball out of the back-line. He’s an aerial threat in the box too, and finished this Championship season with five goals and three assists in 39 outings. A new contract is on the table for Darling at Swansea, where he is managed by former City left-back Alan Sheehan, with the Welsh club’s director of football Richard Montague describing it as a “strong offer”. But the temptation to play under Martin again would perhaps be a strong one. After signing for Swansea from MK Dons in 2022, Darling said: “I was with (Martin) at my last club and we've stayed in contact. I love working with him. “I know the way the manager plays so it was just a case of getting the deal over the line. I just can't wait to get started. “Although I'm a ball playing centre-back, my first job is to keep clean sheets, defend well and do that for the team. If I can do that bit first, then goals are just added extras.” Martin felt at the time that the defender had the potential to reach the top. He said of Darling: “He’s very young and hungry and he possesses all the attributes you need to play at the very top, in my opinion, and it’s up to us to help him unlock those now. “He’s got athleticism, mentality, technical ability and, first and foremost, he’s a great character.”
  7. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/inside-king-power-stadium-youngster-10205840 By Jordan Blackwell Fans surveyed on running of club The Premier League charges news has emerged in a week when City’s largest supporters’ group, the Foxes Trust, have issued a survey on the state of the club. With the banners and chants seen and heard inside the King Power Stadium throughout the season, overwhelmingly positive responses would not have been expected anyway, but this week’s news could lead to more negative feedback. There are 50 multiple-choice questions on City, with many focusing on the hierarchy and their running of the club. There are questions on day-to-day organisation, strategy, managerial appointments, financial management, transfers, contracts, the academy and communication with supporters. There are also questions about the matchday experience, ticketing, the stadium atmosphere and facilities, as well as on fans’ connection with the club. As of a couple of days ago, they were approaching 2,000 responses. The more respondents it gets, the more accurate it should be at showing fan sentiment. You can fill it in here.
  8. Went there as well, also when the school was on Victoria Park we would run down to the cemetery after school to see the Thames Clyde Express pass through sadly the line doesn't go to Scotland now.
  9. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/local-news/new-bus-routes-announced-leicester-10203179 New bus routes announced for Leicester, Loughborough, Fosse Park, Coalville, Shepshed and Hinckley ByHannah RichardsonLocal Democracy Reporter 04:00, 22 MAY 2025 Four new bus routes have been announced serving Fosse Park, the city and Leicestershire towns. The additional services are set to be launched by operator Arriva this summer. The services will connect Coalville to Leicester, Hinckley to Fosse Park, Ashby to Loughborough, and Witherley to Measham. Arriva said the services would launch over the next two months, and would run in addition to the existing journeys offered by the company. The operator said it had worked “closely” with Leicestershire County Council to “shape services that truly meet the needs of local people”. Full details of each new service can be found below. Each of the new services is “fully accessible”, Arriva said, and customers can purchase single and return fares or use any valid Arriva ticket or app product "within the relevant boundary areas". Jonathan Wills, network manager at Arriva Midlands, said: “These new routes are about better connecting communities – whether you're commuting, shopping or meeting friends, there’s a bus for that. We've worked closely with Leicestershire County Council to make sure people have more reliable and regular options so they can get where they need to go. “We really hope these routes will make it easier for people to choose the bus over the car. It’s a small improvement that can make a big difference to our roads and our environment.” The new services LC12: Witherley – Atherstone – Market Bosworth – Measham Starting on Monday, July 14, this route will run once in the morning and once in the afternoon on weekdays. It also serves Fenny Drayton, Ratcliffe Culey, Sibson, Carlton and Newton Burgoland. 10. I used to sit on that bridge with a few mates when I was pre-teen trainspotting.
  11. Based on previous rule changes which have been publically discussed as in LCFC voting in favour of the teams in Europe getting bigger share of international income I can't believe this was implemented without agreement of the majority of clubs including those 'like us'.
  12. Well many of those clubs including ours must have voted these rules in so who's to blame but ourselves and the other clubs like ours.

  16. Can't help but feel more comfortable with a points deduction rather than 'getting off. Let's be honest we deserve to be punished We've gone from the 'darlings' to the 'pariahs' of the football world. I'm wholly uncomfortable with that.
  17. Well we tried one that spanked us
  18. 3 Charges! With that matter over, City and the Premier League move on to 23/24. There are three charges, not just for a breach of the EFL's PSR threshold over maximum losses, but also for allegedly failing to file their accounts by December 31, 2024, and for failing to "provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League in response to the League’s inquiries". https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/breaking-leicester-city-charged-over-10197198
  19. https://thecelticstar.com/celtic-full-back-makes-surprise-leicester-city-appearance/ Celtic full back makes surprise Leicester City appearance By Lubo98 19 May, 2025 No Comments Celtic defender Jefferey Schlupp has been pictured at Leicester City’s ground as part of the celebrations of Jamie Vardy’s career with The Foxes. The veteran hitman will leave Leicester at the end of the season but netted his 200th goal for the club in 500 appearances in the 2-0 win over Ipswich. The full back, who picked up the Scottish Premiership trophy on Saturday after coming off the bench in the draw against St Mirren, was pictured at the King Power Stadium on Sunday. The 33-year-old was on hand to celebrate the achievements of Vardy. In a clip shared online, Schlupp can be seen as part of the guard of honour for Vardy, along with ex-colleagues. It has been a successful weekend for Schlupp as his parent club, Crystal Palace, won the FA Cup while Celtic collected Premiership title. The defender will be hoping to add another piece of silverware next weekend as Celtic face Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup Final. Schlupp will likely be a free agent in the summer as his Crystal Palace deal ends. The Scottish Champions will welcome Kieran Tierney back to the club upon completion of his Arsenal contract this summer. Greg Taylor’s future at the club remains in doubt and it is expected that he will leave the club after a successful six year stay with the Hoops.
  20. Best to keep bumping it as per @SemperEadem
  21. Well it's very shiny and expensive. Owning a diamond that you spent your last £ss on but cant sell would be a noose around the neck. They're not mutually exclusive.
  22. From the day Pearson got us promoted to this season we've felt like a PL club even with the previous relegation now we not only feel like but we are a Championship club in every respect from Top to bottom apart from Seagrave which is the diamond in the rough.
  23. Both or Statue and Jamie Vardy Stadium. Do it Top
