Oh weird, I also thought suspensions applied across League and Cup. Didn't Fatawu's red earlier in the season apply to cup and league?

And you can't understand the difference between "Good girl" and "good lad" in the context in which it was said? -
Is Vestergaard suspended? If so, why did he get to play in the FA cup game?

Who was making that comparison either way? That's some weird whataboutism. Brendan Rodgers, said "good girl" in an insulting, condescending, sexist manner. That's a fact. How big a story it is, or should or should be is a different conversation. -

Her being unfazed or not is kinda irrelevant. What he said was sexist and condescending either way. I think it's quite illuminating about his character... -
It's 13 points dropped after the 75 min mark, across 6 games in the last 19 games. All have mitigating circumstances but we still managed it... Think that's 13 goals conceded after 75mins across the season and 10 of them have resulted in dropped points.
-
Particularly interesting because for the first 20 odd games we were so incredibly dominate in the final 15 mins. We were something like 19 For and barely any Against. Not really sure what's triggered the change over the last 14 games or so. There's not been any noticeable tactical or personnel changes. Might just be the rest of the division being braver
-
It's gone through a few iterations. Originally it was Red = top third, Amber = middle third Green = bottom third But then some people raised the idea that it might actually be the middle third (no chance of playoffs, no chance of relegation) that are the 'easiest' fixtures. Ultimately judging the 'difficulty' of fixtures purely on table position isn't particularly useful or nuanced. So I'd rather simply have a visual denotation for general table position without ascribing difficulty rating to them. Perhaps I'll edit it and use Blue, Yellow and Red or some other 3 colour range that doesn't intuitively read as 'easy, middle, hard' EDIT: Something like this?

I wouldn't say our finishing is particularly inconsistent - it's just that when we have dropped points (in only 9 of 34 games) it's largely been down to our finishing. So it feels more pronounced.
-
Just got to hold our nerve. With the respective run of 4 games with us playing QPR, Hull, Sunderland and Southampton and Leeds playing 4 in a row vs bottom-6 sides, it could get worse before it gets better. But I think we'll still be OK for Autos. But yeah the title itself is now in the balance.

Context and nuance matters though doesn't it? Even in a vacuum "Good man" and "Good girl" are not equivalent phrases are they? Because it's man vs woman and boy vs girl isn't it? He wouldn't sign off an interview saying "Good boy" would he? Then the context is clear, in most interviews him saying "Good Man" is just like a 'thanks' or 'cheers mate' - a perfunctory way of signing off the interview in a somewhat amiable way In this interview he was obviously riled up by his perception of an 'agenda' against him and his team and was annoyed at the interviewer pursuing a line of questioning he wasn't happy with. He basically said 'right we're done here' to finish the interview and when she stopped he said "good girl" So him saying "Good girl" clearly wasn't an equivalent to saying "good man" It was condescending, sexist and intended as 'well done for doing what you're told' -
Southampton aren't going to make up a 11 gap (likely 12 with our 18 better GD) in 12 games. Just got to finish above 1 of Leeds/Ipswich. I don't see them both making up a 6 point gap.

Wrong game at the wrong time. Play close to your best team and we're potentially knackered for the QPR game. Play a weaker side to rest players for the league and it could turn into 3 losses in a row. Don't envy Enzo's position.

OK so if we ignore August it’s 67 points for Leeds vs 64 for Leicester. (even though Leeds have equivalent 4 game runs with their assembled squad vs Leicester’s assembled squad with worse points returns…) if we ignore August + the first game of September it’s 66 vs 66 points and if we use the whole season it’s 72 vs 78 points so, what was the core of your argument again? -

For clarity none of my comments today are about the ‘head and shoulders’ narrative. they’re about your other posts recently and today. you said recently ‘there’s a case to say Leeds are the best team in the league since both teams had settled squads (ie after August). Indeed if Leeds beat Leicester then is 67 vs 64 points gained since August’ My retort was that, if you’re going to arbitrarily ignore the August games (5 in 12 points) why not the worse run in December (4 in 12 points) you then turned around and said ‘oh…I also meant to include the 1st game of September in our bad run’ which even if we ignore the shifting of the goalposts, that then counters your initial premise, because if we do also ignore the first game in September it’s actually 66 vs 66 points gained each since then -

Oh OK then so literally no counter argument or demonstration of where I was wrong. Well done again mate. Hope your run goes well. If you're not happy with your time or distance I'm sure you'll find a way to count it how you like. -

What have I got wrong or skewed? You keep moving the goalposts. Which is it? A) 'Leeds have been the better side since August' then its 67 points to Leeds vs 66 for Leicester. But the argument that your bad start 'cost' you (5/12 points) is a bit silly, since you've had 4 game runs since your team of world beaters was assembled, with (4/12 points) B) 'Leeds have been the better side since 'our arbitrary bad run at the start of the season' then it's 66 points each. -

You've literally been saying all this time 'August, August, August' You also specifically mentioned 29th August as the date when this team was assembled. I was literally using the terms that you used. Since you were talking about August, I had to use games in August. You played 4 and got 5 points. Now you're also counting games in September....? -

Also, hilariously, you're entire 'August narrative' has been predicated on 'Since August Leeds have taken more points than Leicester' But now that you're discounted the first game of September too it's actually 66 points each You've had a mare
