  1. while it's technically true, this is exactly the argument that kept Rodgers in power long enough to undo a decade of progress. it's being penny-wise but pound foolish.
  2. we already had plenty of that though, what we needed was young talent that we could develop and sell again, return to the model that was working for us
  3. yep. what Enzo did with Wilf was a masterstroke tbh. I've seen people say he played as an advanced midfielder under Enzo but in terms of role, he didn't. he still played a defensive midfielder role but on the edge of the attacking third. Any turnovers when we were on the attack were quickly turned back over as part of in effect a form of aggressive pressing, and he had talented ball players right there to immediately lay it off to. it had it's drawbacks, it can be very vulnerable to counters if that initial press is beaten (and that's where the inverted full back was really useful) , but it was a bit of genius in terms of utilising a talented ball winner (and technically limited passer) in a pass heavy team
  4. thing is I can genuinely believe after another couple of defeats he goes pure sufferball and lines up 3cbs, Justin and Kristensen wing backs, Ndidi, Winks and then Ayew and Reid supporting Vardy. at which point I think I'd rather drive into the M1 central reservation than travel to the game
  5. I mean we absolutely did though, and Enzo had a tactical plan. Whether people enjoyed it or not is besides the point
  6. and we've not looked value for even 0 points is rather the issue Steve, now, get back to managing the team
  7. tbf, Fuchs has at least expressed an interest in going into management, don't think cambiasso even did that
  8. They literally failed PSR and got a points deduction last season?
  9. Forest at home.
  10. That's a hilarious write-up tbf, complete failure to understand the concept of irony and bafflement at people not liking the bloke who undid a decades worth of progress with his ineptness.
  11. I mean, with us and Southampton in the league that's still gonna be a big ask.
  12. well yes, but that's as likely to happen as Margot Robbie knocking on my door this evening and asking to spend the night with me. "Promoting" Rudkin and putting a buffer between him and recruitment is more achievable and would be an improvement
  13. they didn't look for an excuse to rule Faes goal out? the lino flagged and VAR said that was dubious and gave the ref the view to overrule the lino and give the goal
  14. £7m on a future striker wasn't the worst idea, when we were expecting Daka to leave and Vardy/Iheanacho had only a year left on their contracts. Shame it's not worked out for him but it wasn't an obviously stupid deal to sign a 21 year old with two of your three strikers expected to leave within 12 months.
  15. huge difference between putting up stickers saying Blue Army on Tour at a Leicester match and putting up a trump/vance 2024 sticker at the same match no?
  16. that's not the same as incorrect decisions being made. it's like the man utd fans moaning about the VAR offside decision the other day
  17. by well documented you mean barely at all right? because we've been through this before and y'all's points difference based on VAR decisions is effectively nothing
  18. why? they're more likely to be in and around the relegation fight than Chelsea are. given how poor we're looking, other teams being equally shit is how we survive
  19. oh yea, I forgot VAR is an anti Wolves conspiracy
  20. yep, if they're so desperate to save face and keep him in position, give him a different title like chief sporting officer and get in an actual DoF who would report into him but would actually handle the dof duties around recruitment and long term planning
  21. it will be, because he doesn't know how to set up a team and instead just relies on a home atmosphere for the players to feed off. Given how passive our home fans are with a few exceptions, I can't see that working that well for him
  22. I mean, cooper picks the team...
  23. So long as Cooper is in charge, Rickys career here looks to be over. All the more reason to admit the mistake and sack the useless gremlin
  24. competent coach or championship coach and jobs for the boys, any sensible owner wouldn't even have struggled with that decision. but, the nepo baby isn't one
