  1. the game where Daka had a hat trick of tap ins and fell over his own feet?
  2. yer da has gotten out of the care home again...
  3. that's not the wilderness is it? the wilderness is going down the divisions. what you're talking about is a just a brief dip in form, and bare in mind that we went top in September and, when all were on the same number of fixtures, didn't leave top spot again.
  4. most fans are completely wrong then given under no circumstances did we head into the wilderness during last season, last season was about coming back from the wilderness. Enzo made mistakes sure, but the important point which you're conveniently ignoring is that he had a tactical plan and ingrained it in the team from the first friendly. Either Cooper doesn't have a tactical plan or what we're seeing, the complete neutering of our wings in favour of a wing back system that is completely shoehorned, is his tactical plan. if it's the latter then people are right to be concerned, there's a reason why basically no teams play 3atb with wing backs nowadays
  5. what nearly cost Enzo was what did cost Sousa - trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. we were playing with Wilf as a progressive 8 ffs, because the squad had basically no depth in key positions (we had KDH, Winks, Hamza, Wilf and a Darren Anderton Regen as our five senior CMs). let's be fair though, he's had three and a half weeks to work with the players who've not been on international duty. he's got another three and a half until the season starts. the point of friendlies is to get low stakes experience playing the primary system for the coming season. even if we don't line up like that v spurs, you can bet full well that it will be a common tactic this season. you don't play random systems with half the players out of position for no reason
  6. early part of preseason is fitness and assessing players yes, but it's also about getting players to start learning the system for the upcoming season. there might be tweaks but I wouldn't expect significant differences between what we're going for now and what we'll be doing come the season starting, just familiarity with it
  7. Doyles a hybrid lb/cb. the bigger difference is the formation last year made use of the squad and got players in their correct positions. the initial indications from Cooper is that it will be a proper back 3 rather than hybrid roles and that as a result we'll be weakening our biggest threat, the wingers
  8. dressing like a bag of aldi knockoff crisps, ****ing hell
  9. there's a huge difference between what we did last year and a 3 centre back formation. what we did last year was a 4-2-3-1 out of possession, flat four with right back and left back. in possession the second of the pivot pushed forward, the right back (Ricky) inverted to keep the double pivot and the left back tucked in as the centre backs shuffled across, creating a 3-2-4-1 in possession. it's a lot more versatile than actually putting 3 centre backs on the pitch with wing backs (people have been shouting about wingbacks since Puel, and it's never suited our squad)
  10. hey now, carl Penteny was never as bad as Ward, he didn't jump out of the way of 70% of shots
  11. get rid of Ward on a no bids refused basis then. 10k for him and paying 90% of his wages for a year is still better than paying 100% of his wages and having him around the club
  12. Ward is always having a huge stinker and not trying though (I mean I don't believe anyone can be so incompetent as to jump out of the way of the ball). we got relegated because of that clown playing 26 games and shouldn't cheer on making the exact same mistakes again.
  13. play is a generous description of what happened
  14. got 3 weeks to prep your Cooper out banners everyone
  15. pretty much. I get mads is on holiday post euros but it should be Iversen or Stolarcyk playing for number two, Ward should be completely frozen out and told to find a new club or see out his contract at home
  16. https://news.sky.com/story/sharks-off-brazil-coast-test-positive-for-cocaine-13183543 anyone know if you need to have seen Cocaine Bear to follow this, or if it's just a spiritual sequel
  17. I mean I agree to an extent but some of these people are not holding legitimate concerns, they're using the environment to push their prejudices. like, assuming this did actually happen: that guy doesn't have "legitimate concerns", he's just a racist twat emboldened by the way that multiple governments have pandered to that ideology. even then, for those who are genuinely ignorant and have real concerns, the answer is not to agree that there's something there, it's to explain the way their anxieties are being manipulated by people with an agenda. immigration isn't causing issues with housing or jobs, landlords and corporate greed is.
  18. it's also exactly why the labour leader who achieved the highest vote share and total votes of any in the last two decades was Corbyn 2017. like him or not, like his policy platform or not, only someone determined not to give him any credit at all would deny he was a divergence from the John Jackson vs Jack Johnson model of politics and enthused people who generally couldn't see the point in voting.
  19. in other news, Dianne Abbott says she won't serve as Starmers chancellor. like dude, she wasn't ever going to ask you.
  20. I like the Uchigakata because it's a starter class weapon that inflicts blood loss but yea, anything that inflicts blood loss is great with it
  21. have you been and done Redahn festival in Caelid?
  22. alternative you start as a samurai, put everything into vigor, mind and dex, go to fort haight, get the bloody slash ash of war, stick it on the Uchigakata and just throw your blood at everyone until they explode in their own blood.
  23. You think Stolarcyk is ready for top flight football? Not sure on that. To be a number two sure, regular starter I'm not convinced. If we were to sell Mads we'd need to be straight in the market.
  24. if he considers Ward as anything more than a millstone to be sold asap then he needs throwing into the Soar.
  25. Ah, Coady is our new Wayne Brown then, given he clearly blacked up
