  1. forums are for discussions if you don't like it don't use them, we are in the shit FFP wise and have been for 2 seasons so deals like this NEED to work after all we've just seen a deal for much less money collapse due to our FFP position so no winning a game of football isn't going to stop people worrying about how the transfer business of the club is being run. Part of the reason why I've said we should use Coady more is I want this deal to work because it needs to. If Vesty is out for any length of time and Coady isn't picked you can't really deny how bad this deal has turned out to be
  2. that's where clubs networking come in, Souttar for example was at one stage linked with a move to Saudi, but we've overpaid in fees and wages for too long and its bit us in the arse as we struggle to shift players which is why deals like Coady need to be successes, I'm not actually blaming the club for this one, but it is looking like bad business
  3. I'm not sure Vest had a change in attitude to be fair, it was his ability that was in question in the previous system
  4. yeah but as @Ric Flair pointed out on BSLB pod last night we've sold 4 players we no longer wanted in 4 years, we simply need to improve that massively
  5. in the wide positions he absolutely should be, Coady can only really play in the Vestergaard spot
  6. we've just spent a month talking about how tight money is at the club we bought this player for £7m and no doubt he is on decent wages, its a fair discussion to have, if you want to live in a echo chamber get off the internet
  7. its not so much on him, who knows what happens if that broken foot never happens but we could have probably spent that money elsewhere in hindsight and simply used Souttar more for the games Coady has played
  8. its not uncommon for players at his age to do that, if Vardy stays for example it will certainly be on reduced terms, Vestergaard will probably take less per week than he was on with us in the prem but there will be a big signing on fee from which ever club he joins
  9. this really is starting to look like a terrible deal, £7m and he doesn't get on in his best role when Vestergaard has to go off, now maybe Enzo felt comfortable and wanted to give Nelson time but you'd think he'd want to see Coady in that role too
  10. he stood down for the investigation then returned after being cleared. The full allegations are in the Athletic today, now I've seen them they did the right thing and he's done in football, he's alleged to have had a 3 year relationship with a player that started when she was just 17, though he claims she was 18
  11. they were clearly willing to alter the deal so the club should have assume we wouldn't sell anyone and got it done that way, iv we then sold someone great
  12. they had an entire month so running out of time is not an excuse
  13. that's grounds for us to sack him not them, though I guess if they were already having doubts it would push them over to that side
  14. sweet really hope he's involved in the first team soon
  15. how many of the players we don't want are out of contract this summer? Just Praet? From memory Vardy, Albrighton, Iheanacho, Ndidi and Praet are out of contract with Hamza renewed and Smithies retired, Thomas has a club option we have yet to take up for next season too
  16. I wonder how many people making excuses for Rudkin were also the ones that refused to accept we were in a relegation battle last season? We sleepwalked into relegation we are now in a position where we only really have 3 cms and one of those is out for 3 months, Praet is off and doesn't stand out in a league a player of his ability should be a leading player for and Yunus is a winger. Not finding a transfer for Souttar and Ward, the latter of whom is on big money, is handicapping us for FFP. It's not just the Sensi deal, its window after window players we want to sell go no where. And we already know the big sales are handled by Whelan not Rudkin and now we have a second manager saying the finances are worse than they had been led to believe, that's shitty management by a director, he's crawled his way into Tops arse so the only way he'll be gone is if fans demand it and even then I'm not sure it'd happen and Top is rarely here
  17. how about take the £4m we were offered for our 4th choice keeper in the summer instead of holding out for £6m given the balance of the difference will be spent on his wages for this season alone, be pro-active in finding transfers for players the manager doesn't want like Souttar, Praet etc. It's like they expect people to come to us for them when some of them have barely played in a year. We had this last season too and we mostly put it down to Rodgers wanting out but it was the same failing then. If the deal with Sensi only collapsed over terms with Inter why haven't we signed him on a bosman already, he was here after all, for the summer?
  18. Jonathan Morgan sacked by Sheffield United after new evidence of his actions before he arrived at the club making his position there untenable
  19. we're not even going to get him on a Bosman in the summer are we ...
  20. the man is stealing a living
  21. I suspect this isn't something Enzo wants but its part of the players full learning the system
  22. doesn't explain the refusal to go into the space, which changes the passing lanes forces defenders to move opening up new attacking options which is surely the point of the system in the first place
  23. the one that really sticks out is he won the ball at right back and even started to charge down the wing then stopped and turned back, why? you had support and players to cover you go and attack
  24. no but the fact he's started to wonder up field when the other side has the ball is worrying, its one thing when he has the ball as someone else fills in but when they have it it just leaves a gaping hole, its not like he's winning the ball either, Jannic as the centre of the 3 needs to get hold of him and keep him back there
  25. he's off in the summer probably back to Germany to play in European competitions, its part of the reason I'd like to see Coady come in for some games we need to see the system with him there. Unless we have a real gem lined up for that role in the summer Coady's our main option next season
