  1. I don’t think Top had pictures of Steve Cooper in a Wrexham shirt on his bedroom wall when he was younger.
  2. Nice of you to casually reveal your Pornhub history.
  3. Currently refereeing on Channel 5
  4. The realism of that second line is unfortunately unlikely, especially when it comes to the board. Cleverley’s coaching team at Watford mainly consisted of people he’s worked with in the past. If some of those followed him to Leicester, it wouldn’t be so bad would it. Cleverley showed bravery last season by using numerous young players, most of which he improved considerably, especially Kwadwo Baah who was an absolute menace for Watford until his injury in February. Cleverley is a guy who was brave enough to start two 21 year old centre-backs together. He was brave enough to start a 19 year old striker, take him off for an 18 year old striker, while leaving their more senior striker on the bench. His reign at Watford was far from perfect, they had spells of conceding early, some poor away form, while their form took a massive dip post Christmas. But if Kwadwo Baah hadn’t got injured, and if they actually had a competent striker who could score regularly at Championship level, I reckon they would’ve finished top 10. Some managers mentioned don’t hold that much experience, what experienced managers available would be realistic? Dyche? Hasenhuttl? No thanks.
  5. What Watford’s ceo said about Cleverley two months ago, now they’ve stabbed him in the back. The type of guy who wouldn’t be afraid to give the likes of Nelson, Alves, Monga and Evans a chance.
  6. The Watford observer ran a poll today, over 90% of Watford fans said he shouldn’t have been sacked. In the first half of the season he got them playing some lovely football, especially at Vicarage Road, they had the best home form in the league at one point. Throughout the season he has given numerous young talent a chance. He improved the likes of Kwadwo Baah and Mattie Pollock, gave their 19 year old striker Mamadou Doumbia a chance and he started to excel. He revitalised Imran Louza to the point where Louza actually won their Player of the Season award. Their form dropped considerably in the second half of the season, but one of their most influential players in Baah got injured, while he wasn’t backed in the January transfer window, they were in desperate need for a striker especially, yet the Watford hierarchy didn’t give him one. He has been hung out to dry by a board that is shitter than ours. A disgraceful sacking, would happily take a chance on him at Leicester.
  7. Thoroughly agree, British talent coming through is very sparse. I think both Joe O’Connor and Jackson Page will properly breakout at some point, I’ve been impressed with Stan Moody’s development over the past season. Beyond those though, there’s many British youngsters in junior tournaments, but even those are starting to get dominated by Eastern European contingent, especially players from Poland and Ukraine. Then you of course have the influx of the Chinese talent, which will only expand in the coming years. If the trend continues, I can see Snooker being dominated by Chinese and Eastern European talent in next 5-10 years.
  8. Feel extremely sorry for you this time around mate. A good few Watford sackings have made sense in the past, but this one, the most disappointing and harsh one of the lot imo. But a typical Pozzo move, just because form has dipped and Cleverley didn’t get you into the play-offs. They don’t care about the bigger picture regarding injuries and lack of investment. As soon as Baah got injured and Bayo’s form became shit again, it was no surprise to see form dip, but of course that’s not Cleverley’s fault. The Pozzo’s need to pull a rabbit out the hat, otherwise I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the catalyst to Championship relegation.
  9. Their sets of fans are unsurprisingly absolutely fuming. I’ve not seen Hull under Selles, but I watch Watford regularly because my mother’s a supporter. I’m even fuming at that Cleverley decision, he’s been far from perfect, but he’s had key injuries to deal with, while he’s had to rely on a 19 year old striker because Vakoun Bayo is crap. Would happily take a chance on Cleverley, get him back to Leicester.
  10. That Cleverley sacking is a fvcking disgrace imo, the worst sacking of the Pozzo era. Yes Watford’s form dropped off, but Kwadwo Baah has been injured for the majority of the second half of the season, while Cleverley wasn’t really backed in January, they badly needed a striker.
  11. Fair play
  12. Of Championship managers on an upward trajectory, Manning would be top of the tree over the likes of Rohl, Mousinho, Muslic. If Bristol City don’t get promoted, he’d be near the top of the list for me. MK Dons, Oxford and now Bristol City all improved under him. At Bristol City he seems to have built a solid culture, of course helped by the foundations Nigel Pearson left. Yes he prefers possession football which at times can be on the slow side, but in terms of possession stats like passing sequences, they sit in the middle of the tables. They rank quite high for direct attacks in the Championship, which is becoming a key component in English football. While even though they are not aggressive pressers, Bristol City rank quite well for high turnovers.
  13. Nah, this can’t be right. Best in the business Jon Rudkin wouldn’t do something like this.
  14. The highlight of this year’s World Championship. Thank you for your services, Malgorzata ❤️ #BetterthanDesi
  15. One of the most naturally gifted players of this generation. Despite the bans, Chinese Snooker has been in strong hands for a while, it will only get stronger. The likes of Zhao, Si and Wu could transcend the sport to a new generation.
  16. Mark Williams clearly wants to give Adrian Chiles his money’s worth.
  17. Now I believe we’ll get our first Chinese World Champion.
  18. Few gems knocking around in mid-table/lower half of the Championship. Swansea supposedly paid between £2-3 million for him, I reckon they could be tempted around £10 million, similar to what we paid for Winks. In terms of fees, defensive midfield and striker probably needs the most investment this summer. Their recruitment has actually been criticised tbh 😬 Franco has been a rare gem, wouldn’t be surprised if Inoussa follows suit, he’s been one of the best wing talents in Sweden.
  19. Of our better first team players(Which isn’t many), losing Hermansen this summer has felt inevitable for a while. It’s far easier to come to terms with his departure compared with others over the years. Signed for £6.5 million, will probably be sold for £20-30 million, good business. We have Stolarczyk waiting in the wings, while if we wanted another keeper, signing someone on a free transfer or in the price range we signed Hermansen, that’s the sort of transfer business you’d be content with.
  20. Goncalo Franco - Swansea City His defensive stats caught my attention last season when he was playing in Portugal, he ended up at Swansea which has proven to be a coup for their scouting team. He has just won their Player of the Season award, while in terms of defensive statistics, this is how he compares to other Championship midfielders. Tackles per90 - 4th Defensive Duels per90 - 2nd Defensive Duels Won per90 - 2nd Possessions Won per90 - 4th Would make for a great option if Ndidi leaves.
  21. Sorry to break a thousand hearts in this thread, but Desi revealed today that she has a boyfriend.
  22. Isn’t that the name of one of those massage parlours on Narborough Road 🤔
  23. Knowing our board, Hasenhuttl and Martin will be the final two candidates.
