Can’t be having some Miron Muslic slander in this thread mate. @Claudio Fannieri and @Ric Flair will take you down in a 2 on 1 handicap match.
-
Williams needs his 2018 final fuel of Wine Gums and Minstrels to get him going.
-
Yep, Phil Haigh from The Metro wrote some context on the situation this morning.

Of course depends who the manager is, but if you want a striker who can excel in duels and is an aerial presence, then there’s a quartet of Championship strikers who fit that bill. Salech being one of them. Carlton Morris, Mihalio Ivanovic and Colby Bishop being the other three. No doubt getting Salech or Morris would be easier now Cardiff and Luton have been relegated, but I’d give Ivanovic at Millwall the edge.

The final this year feels impossible to predict, it could be absolutely anything. Steve Davis summed it up perfectly last night, you wouldn’t be surprised if Zhao blasts Williams off the table, and you wouldn’t be surprised if Williams teaches Zhao a lesson and schools him. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a 18-16/18-17 thriller.

You’d dive into the trenches with this guy wouldn’t you…

Rewind back to the Tour Championship, Williams lost to Ding 10-3 in the first round and pretty much laughed in Rob Walker’s face after he wished him luck for the World Championship. Remarkable achievement at 50 years old and with poor eyesight.

LCFC 2-0 Southampton, post-match thread
kingfox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
With that win, a goal and a clean sheet. Van Nistelrooy, Ayew and Faes all deserve new contracts. -
That’s why you shouldn’t diss Ayew

Ayew starting

Baffled that they looked at our defence and deemed it good enough to stay up, especially when a large chunk of that defence got us relegated last time, while in Coady’s case he wasn’t wanted by Wolves or Everton. Only signing Okoli in the summer as a defensive reinforcement was a travesty.
-
Felt that we had the quality to stay up. There’s your proof that our board are deluded.
-
Seriously impressive barrage of scoring from Zhao, in 15 of the 17 frames he won, he produced at least a 50+ break. If Zhao, Si and Wu continue to rise, them duelling at the top of the game could be fascinating.
-
No offence to Williams, but a Zhao vs Judd final would be seriously intriguing.
-
Finally someone not fearful of Ronnie and are taking their chances. Awesome Snooker from Zhao so far in this session.

Will Still aside, I’d get doing some digging on Carles Martinez Novell at Toulouse, really solid history when it comes to youth development, he spent a period of time with the Barcelona youth system. He has similarities to what Regis Le Bris was doing at Lorient. Elsewhere, two managers in their first season’s in management, Sebastien Pocognoli(Union SG) and Paul Simonis(Go Ahead Eagles) are both having intriguing campaigns and their stocks could be soon on the rise. Pocognoli has worked in the youth systems with Union SG, Genk and Belgium national team. Simonis worked in the Sparta Rotterdam youth setup for a good period of time, was assistant manager at Go Ahead and Heerenveen, before taking the Go Ahead main job last summer. Go Ahead currently have the second youngest side in the Eredivisie. Aside from Muslic and Still, those three are the most intriguing and realistic names I’ve come across, that will more than likely be willing to give our younger talent a chance. But they are probably all too hipster for our board. #WelcomeBrussel

He might be flavour of the month because he appeared on MNF, but I have to say, Will Still has to be a very credible option for a number of reasons. This article was written when he was at Reims https://theanalyst.com/2023/11/the-revolution-at-reims-under-will-still I think his style of football would resonate more with our fanbase. Quicker progressive passing, aggressive pressing. Has also been willing to be versatile with formations both at Reims and Lens. He’s also worked with younger squads, when he first stepped into Reims, they had the youngest squad in Ligue 1. When it comes to youth development, targeting managers from certain leagues like France, Belgium, Netherlands, where youth development is key would be a very wise move, looking at managers from those countries, Will Still is probably the most realistic and credible name of the bunch. The only negative I would give is that he loves a dip in form, in both season’s at Reims he had them pushing for Europe, but they fell away in both campaigns. But from a style of play and youth development perspective, he has some credibility in the bank over some of the underwhelming names that are unsurprisingly linked.

@Claudio Fannieri @Ric Flair We might be in the shit, but Argyle’s situation sounds shitter, could he be available 🤔

Sheffield Wednesday have been statistically one of the more fast & direct teams in the Championship, none of this slow & intricate bollocks that a lot of our fanbase have become bored with. Only thing I’m sceptical about when it comes to Rohl is youth development, it could be down to Sheffield Wednesday being badly run, but they currently have one of the oldest squads in the Championship, while he has relied heavily on numerous 30+ year olds. But Rohl has plenty of upside going for him, I’d rather go the up-and-coming managerial route over the safe and underwhelming route.

A pair of easy on the eye Semi-Finals, could be a great advert for Snooker over the remaining days. Hard to look past Judd though, definitely playing the best Snooker of the four.

Kota Takai who has been linked in the past…

Matthias Jaissle. Loved his work at RB Salzburg, but not sure we’d be able to prise him away from Al-Ahli. Really depends how brave they’ll be feeling again. If Leeds let Farke go, you’ll have three managers in Farke, Martin and Dyche right in Leicester City’s lap who’ve experienced Championship promotion, underwhelming as they are, it would be a safe and unsurprising route to go down. Or they can be brave and go the inexperienced route again, Davide Ancelotti probably tops that list right now as it seems he’ll definitely be available this summer.
