  1. Got to admit the more I look at the QPR stint the more meh about it I am. Did very well in his first year, keeping them up when they looked dead and buried - very similar to Rohl. Hasn't really kicked them on at all in the last season though. They survived comfortably in the end but they were bottom of the table in November. I appreciate it's a different level of squad, different resources, but it's all a bit... ordinary. I saw positive shoots in that win away here in March 2024 (I really couldn't give a shit about that cup game, a total freak that shouldn't have even gone ahead) but I am slightly concerned that the biggest positive we seem to have is that we don't really know a load about him. We will see. This isn't a strong view against him and it's more intriguing than something like Gary O'Neil, but in my head his record was better than it actually is.
  2. I wouldn't because it's a daft concept but it's a rare instance here where you'd probably end up better prepared than if you didn't. I wonder if Cifuentes is aware he'll be lied to on budget for example.
  3. Agree with everything you've said. Though when Rudkin and Whelan kept their jobs after May 2023 was when I knew we were stuffed. The bit in bold to me was so abundantly obvious based on this. Just empty words.
  4. In many ways it's worse than Chansiri. At least Chansiri never inherited that situation to begin with. It's preposterous.
  5. Actually don't mind him. Do wonder what exactly what went wrong towards the end with QPR and why he's ended up leaving but he did do well there for a while. Was a time when he and Rohl were in very similar conversations. As ever the entire process behind our managerial appointments is ****ing mental. He's been out of work what, 6/7 weeks? How was this not lined up a lot earlier? We got relegated so long ago and the one plus to this is that it gives you a time advantage over your rivals. We've chuffed it away to... play polo? They might've lucked it on him again though. Small positive shoots in what I've seen of him.
  6. This isn't going to work is it. Just doesn't come across like a manager.

Another cheap, lazy and unimaginative appointment. Ticks every box.
  8. I'd imagine that preseason has been arranged very purposely to prevent exactly this. Notice how there's still nothing announced for the last weekend of July.
  9. I think this is the year the yoyo is broken also. It will only be broken under this owner by us not going up. We're outsiders this time for a reason. Since this we've proceeded to throw another few months away while other clubs actually try and make a fist of things. We're continuing to wing it. Clearly the penny still hasn't dropped at the club that we can't keep doing this, or it has and they just have contempt for those who no longer rim the pillock in charge. Neither would surprise me. Football really is broken if a club this shambolic can get promoted to the Premier League.
  10. Never give our board benefit of the doubt.
  11. Get these ****ing arseholes so far gone.
  12. Called O'Neil months ago. That's my level of faith in our board.
  13. We suffer until they leave. I know it.

Do tesco express in this instance not ever sell on our unwanted shopping to others? It's one thing being at the mercy of an agent but another failing to ever utilise selling players. Feels like a very weak relationship from our point of view.
  15. Well this is what I mean. We're so weak that we're now as a club essentially working for an agent. It isn't even a give and take. They can probably barely believe their luck.
  16. Here's one - if they're in bed with this agent, why the **** can't they leverage this to sell some of the ****ing shite players we've signed? Imagine being dictated to by a ****ing agent. Aiyawatt is a weak loser. Total total loser. Get out of this club you ****.
  17. People really have to stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.
  18. There's nothing to overthink. We got relegated 11 weeks ago and have no manager. No matter what the reason is it's a disgrace and completely indefensible.
  19. No but don't you realise it takes minimum 3 months negotiating if you're us (any other club has this shit sorted weeks, possibly months ago). Stop complaining!!!!!
  20. Fingers crossed. If that's true I think even the mental gymnasts online would struggle. Though they often find a way.
  21. It's such a terrible operation that it's at the point of being just bizarre - you do wonder if there is actually something else going on and there is a sale etc.. I just cannot explain this level of incompetence. I don't think we'll quite go down again like some do but I do think this lot have the potential to take us there in the next few years if they aren't hounded out. I think other than Sheffield Wednesday there isn't a club with such inept ownership in the top two leagues. Even Sheffield Wednesday, as terrible as Chansiri is I do wonder where we'd actually be if he'd inherited us in 2018. To fall from that to this now is barely believable.
  22. Quite a claim to make - feel like we'd know more about that if it was true. If they aren't then at least we're closer to the end of this absolute charade.
  23. Maresca must have some sort of stat of highest % of games managed against a club with a tiny fraction of his budget ever. Even in this they've basically hit nobody of note until the final.
