Spartak Moscow themselves might be the best bet thinking about it.

Would've been moved on at least two years ago at even an averagely run club.
  3. Fine by me. Sensible contract permitting.
  4. Ben Marshall's run of like 4 worldies in 6 games. He completely fell off as a player.
  5. it's actually so disappointing this has ended up in here. He really has lost it hasn't he, his finishing in that was fantastic.
  6. Good shout, with McGivern I always think of him against Jimmy Kebe. Frankly shouldn't have been shown live before 10pm.
  7. Probably tomorrow
  8. Always reassuring to hear.
  9. Always ****ing hated these.
  10. Too much is made of possession itself which is just a number and less about the speed and tempo of play. A Dyche team could have 75% of the ball if they come up against say Nathan Jones.
  11. Don't know what's funnier, the result or the North Korea level attempt to hide it.
  12. That Portsmouth game I went to both that and the cup game and they absolutely battered us for about an hour of the cup game, just couldn't quite come back. You knew were going to lose but the scale of it, good god.
  13. I'm quite relaxed about them this season - last season was a massive chance spurned. Their fans won't realise this yet as they will make the mistake the majority make of assuming incremental upwards movement is inevitable. Those chances do not come around often though and they ultimately secured only Conference League football (of which they've even managed to luck it by bumping up a competition) and a semi final of the FA Cup. They had essentially our 2019/20 season with more margin for error and ultimately a worse team, and they have done the equivalent of selling Maddison and Barnes already. I don't think they fumble on quite the level we do and go down but I can just see Marinakis thinking their drop off is a disgrace and Nuno being under pressure quite early on. I definitely think they've peaked.
  14. He's a good talker and we saw this as a silver bullet to the mentality problem of 2022/23. It was another short-sighted and lazy move from our leaders.
  15. £22.5mil release clause surely not. We paid about that for him!
  16. Yep - the fact Ricardo is seen as the safe bet (and would probably be my pick too) despite his availability issues.
  17. I can accept mistakes and genuinely with the way he actually ended up in position of owner I could probably accept them even more so than from someone else, so perhaps there was a bit of credit in the bank if you can call it that. I think if we had become maybe a steady PL club (which is a decline from what he inherited) you would probably say fair enough. But my god he's bad. There are errors you can forgive but it's the behaviours. I lost all faith in him when Rudkin and Whelan held their positions in May 2023 and knew what he was about. Knew we were basically nailed on for relegation and know that we're only going one way under him - unless we do get lucky with a manager. To an extent we did with Maresca, but he saw through it all and got an offer he couldn't really refuse. It sounds extreme to call everything rubbish all the time but the more time passes the more I think the fan treatment / contempt was always there beneath the surface and they were largely being distracted from by a good team at the time. Even stuff like the gold on kits - was dismissed by the majority on here and only called out by a select few and while that isn't the ultimate issue at the minute I think the red flags have always been there. Even now you have financial errors like the Coady signing (which numerous on here called as a poor value for money piece of business at the time) which not only do we look like we might fumble a rare bit of luck in terms of getting him gone, but there's talk at Rangers' end that we have a replacement lined up as well - Coady's performances have been poor but the biggest issue is the cost. We quite literally wouldn't have had any drop off if all of his minutes had gone to Nelson and we would have a lot more money in the bank. But when there is such a culture of unaccountability then don't be surprised when we replace the mistake in Coady with yet another mistake, probably eliminating all money saving. It's just such amateurish stuff and other clubs are getting smarter and smarter while we are at best, stagnant. I listened to a podcast the other day about Manchester United and I realised that us and them have real parallels. They're on a greater scale but they make similar errors - one thing flagged up was how bad they have been at selling unwanted players. We are the most similar thing to them just with smaller numbers. I would imagine United have this same institutional culture of delusion that it's all just magically going to get better for them. I actually think Amorim himself sees that it isn't that straight forward and that he's having to make some tough decisions to get things in order such as sidelining Rashford / Garnacho etc... but ultimately they have fallen because they aren't a smart club and smaller clubs are outthinking them. It's why I don't think we've stopped falling - why can't clubs like Norwich, West Brom etc... pass us? If this is our mindset? Aiyawatt has no excuse to be this bad. It's an attitude problem.
  18. It would be quite on brand for us nowadays to give the captaincy to someone who pulled that nonsense last season. Really dislike the way this sort of disrespect seems to have become tolerated. A massive sign of weakness.
  19. He's absolutely gone to bits as a player. Might need a move like a loan here to get back on track but no guarantees at all that it would work. It's a risk. I'm not expecting us to have a mammoth budget but if we can't get together something to buy a decent striker then what hope really is there for us.
  20. Had a feeling this would be their replacement for him. Completely depressing but just accustomed to it at this point.
  21. Might've gone if announced weeks ago - precisely why they didn't though.
  22. Stupidly slow as ever. Probably an early red flag for him. Good luck Marti. Don't make me call you Russell Marti at any point in this tenure and you have probably done well.
  23. Watch us go and turn that down and he ends up staying. A bit of luck for us here. Lets actually make it count.
  24. It doesn't take an expert to judge how badly this has gone either. I think only Chansiri in the top two leagues is worse than this bloke and even with him you can make the case he hasn't quite overseen the same level of decline.
  25. I've long accepted this. He however employs complete idiots, they're never accountable for their errors and even worse is when something good does happen he wants to be front and centre. So he can piss off frankly.
