  1. He'd probably end up in Macedonia if you meant literally
  2. I was surprised quite how bad they actually were. I think they're certs for bottom half next season. How far down, who knows.
  3. I do think he's quite harshly rated at times and I think if you were totally, utterly honest, he's probably your best bet of going up and staying up. I don't think he could do much beyond that and I don't think you ever felt like Burnley were really improving year on year, more just surviving. The Everton thing is a weird one. Their fans mostly thought he had to go but also respect the quite tough job he did there. People talk about this massive upturn under Moyes. They have improved but they've definitely flattened out again. Moyes is also better than Dyche. I thought this was fairly obvious. We're a Championship team for the second time in three years. I don't think we have this massive pull that we once did. I thought two years ago we could very much run off credit in the bank but after what's happened this season, we are essentially Farke's Norwich, we're Southampton, we're firmly in this category now through the total and utter neglect of the board. I think he's a limited manager and I do think his lack of track record of bringing younger players through, particularly given the situation we're in where we seem to have numerous promising prospects is a risky one. Even Dyche's biggest fan would have to concede that he's probably not going to be the best person to bring through someone like Monga. I do think he's quite harshly criticised though. A scenario where he got us up next season, kept us up the season after then was sacked in October 2027 following poor start is probably better than what is likely to actually play out at this point. Not my absolute number one but I think in our current situation we could do worse.
  4. We've had absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing all season to enjoy. I'm as miserable as they come about the state of LCFC but random weird games like that need to be enjoyed because every possible attempt to make football unenjoyable in general is happening. I don't take back what I've said about this team this season but they deserve some credit for that.
  5. They're cooked and they know it. The Europa League is a great competition even despite this years final being as bad a final pair of teams as I think I've ever seen make it, and they will enjoy it, but they had a real chance to climb the ladder a bit here and they've blown it. I think they could really struggle next season if today, added to the Europa League is anything to go by. That's a hard competition where they will play you would think a minimum of 12 games. They've been carried a hell of a lot by Wood's ridiculous form. It was always quite likely to level out - just seems to be going far the other way. Massive chance blown for Forest. Our season has been a disgrace and today doesn't stop it being but it's nice to actually have something to genuinely enjoy. Far more fun than beating Southampton.
  6. ****ing get in hahahahaha
  7. IGNORED
  8. I've always begrudgingly rated their atmosphere at home. Even back in the Championship. It's set up perfectly for them given the away end and the fact they completely surround you.
  9. Odds are against us but frankly, this lot owe us a performance after this utter shit show of a season. I'll accept a draw given the damage it would do to them. However, win.
  10. In all seriousness it's terrible to have anybody else restricting your business. But honestly, our lot might need stopping. It genuinely might be a bit of a safety net. Reminds me a little of when Chelsea had their transfer ban. They were forced into giving opportunities to some really bright young players that they may have otherwise shunned.
  11. all of a sudden thinking this business plan is actually a bit of a godsend rather than a problem. Make a mess and get punished by having our mess cleaned up for us. This lot really do have a talent.
  12. The whole "stay humble" business. Proceed to prove Haaland correct.
  13. In a nutshell why even beating Real Madrid didn't quite fool me. They have previous for doing this. Do something impressive, declare themselves winners, go on to not win it.
  14. Inter are quite likely to finish 2nd.
  15. English refs and officiating is bad but **** me I prefer our interpretation of handball to their nonsense. An 80% chance of a goal because the ball graises your fingertips accidentally. Nobody can possibly believe this is correct.
  16. PSG deserve it - better side over all three ties. Excellent side who've become genuinely quite likeable. Amazingly this is the first ever meeting between PSG and Inter. I have no strong feeling for who I want to win. Actually edging towards PSG I think. They've been great fun.
  17. Plenty of Twitter tacticos are upset with it for the good of football give me PSG through tomorrow.
  18. Neither deserved to lose that. Sensational game.
  19. Yamal is the best in the world already isn't he? Every time I watch him he's 8/10 minimum. Only Messi I can remember was like that.
  20. Just insanely good games of football. Gives you hope again.
  21. Quite an interesting read - for everything wrong with us I don't think your decline ever gets enough attention either and there's never really anything made of it. All feels quite timid and similar to us in that the fans for the most part are just beaten down by it all and almost apathetic to it. But it's sad. You're likely to finish on 35 points in the last two PL seasons combined - a complete disgrace frankly. I do get fed up of it being treated like it's some big inevitability. I can't believe Leicester (or Southampton) can't compete in an era where Brentford and Bournemouth are pushing for Europe and Nottingham Forest are still odds on to make the Champions League.
  22. Alves doesn't need to come into our team and carry us next season. If he's our 17th best player in the squad that's perfectly OK. It's a good way to pad your squad out without having to blow loads on fees and wages - something we've often been guilty of. Been many instances where we've blown good money on squad fillers when we could've just had a youth player perform exactly the same role.
  23. They'll be nervous and they'll be vulnerable, but we're just awful, abject, and sadly they'll win. But like I say that alone may not be enough. Palace away is a pretty rotten fixture for them too.
  24. This is what I hate most about our team. This fixture should be a massive banana skin for them but we really are that hopeless. It's a gimme victory for them.
  25. Called it that Forest would stumble as soon as they started facing sides who would actually attempt to be quite compact against them. It's a big shame they still have the gimme of playing Leicester, but losing last night has meant that alone may not be enough.
