I know Salah is getting a lot of shit at how he's gone about what he's said, but there has to be some responsibility taken by the club and Slot surely? It can't be all on Salah to get the blame. Yeah he might have been a bit salty about it, but when you have a club legend and icon being frozen out all of a sudden (regardless of poor form) it does look a bit shady. I feel a bit sorry for him if he has been frozen out and had no communication or conversations about it. Is he being cryptic about again 'someone at the club wants me out?'. A guy that's led the team to trophies and scoring ridiculous amounts of goals and he gets treated like this so suddenly is pretty poor. And no doubt there'll be fans up there burning effigies of Salah, when you look at how they treated Alexander-Arnold it won't be surprising...

No point changing the captain when the strategy from the top is failing. And that goes beyond test cricket. You need to have the right structure and foundation for your test players to excel. Right now, and for a fairly significant amount of time, that isn't there. There's only so long you can dine out on strong home performances or iconic players thrashing out quality innings (Root and Stokes, maybe Brook). Gotta be wholesale changes beyond just the playing squad.

Needs to do a lot more to change my mind. In game management and subs aren't doing it for me. Can't fault him for how we started today's game so he has to have credit for that. But he threatens to undo all his hard work and the players hard work with 2nd half performances like today's. Did enough in the end but he's got a lot more work to do to change perceptions in my opinion.
