We needed to go something like 3-5-2 this season with Kristiansen/Thomas and Justin/Ricardo as wing backs, Coady, Souttar and Faes in defence, Winks/KDH/Ndidi midfield and Daka/Nacho or Vards up front, add a couple of loanees and some creativity and we'd probably still be where we are now rather than a team built around Enzoball. It's astonishing we've gone down this route. Why waste all that money on Cannon? I'd argue we never needed Fatawu/Mavididi for as good as they've been.

We have the most important season in decades where we MUST go straight back up and give the club over to a total novice, inexperienced coach with an "idea" and then spend millions funding players to support that idea at the expense of players who we have already signed for big money (Souttar and Kristiansen), no surprised then when the novice coach's tactics are found out he can't turn it round
