As far as this season was concerned, last summer. Not sacking Van Nistelrooy, taking far too long to appoint Marti, and failling to rebuild the squad. A sensible managerial appointment, 3 or 4 championship ready signings and a few more departures and we would be nowhere near relegation. We approached this season with callous indifference and arrogance and look where it got us.

Win all 4 and I think we do stay up, especially with a WBA points deduction. But it won't happen. 1 win in 16 games, what do you expect.

I'm just looking forward to seeing a group of players who want to be here, and we can have an actual football team to support. This has been a ghost ship of a club this season. Optimistically, I'm expecting all of the senior players to go. Realistically, I expect some to still be here.

Justin yesterday, even McAteer today (would be useful for us, limited but a grafter), just endless reminders of our incompetence even when not playing.
