If they dont announce the outcome today, they have to postpone the final surely? At this point no one will have any transport logistics in place if you are only 48 hours from kick off.

"We got caught. We are sorry. We told them about the other times to help maybe show our spying didnt always result in a win. We only had to declare the times it was within 72 hours. We broke the rule but Leeds broke it first and despite them being the reason the rule was made, we should get that punishment instead." The whole bit of listing other non related deductions is asinine. Its a club knowing if they dont take the shot and get promoted now, they are ****ed. Sponsors may pull out, players may start legal cases, the whole coaching staff has to leave for sure. Its mental. Ricky Lambert on TalkSport this morning was insane. "I dont see how this has given the players an advantage." Man has headed too many footballs if he doesnt see how knowing what your opponent may do in the upcoming match will benefit everyone, including the players who are briefed on what to expect and what to do.

When will the whole write up be made public that shows all the evidence and stuff? After this appeal today or we talking weeks?

Its the hope that kills you. I would love to see it though. Last minute winner and North London crumbles.

If the punishment was going to be the same pre those boro matches, and its kick out and 4 points, it makes sense to have had a debate on 7th taking the spot. Where we are now it obviously isnt. If Southampton had been found to be doing this before the playoffs, the question is would it have only been a 4 point deduction or would it have been more as the main punishment is losing the playoff chance and it would have been more points if that wasnt on the table?

There is a criminal legal defence that if you genuinely didnt know you were committing a crime as you didnt know there was a law against it, that is a valid defence. Talking petty shit though, not the big ones. This however is bollocks on his behalf. English rules and German rules would be the same. If anything, the German rules would be stricter. He then came to Barnsley and would have known the rules then, then went Italy where there would be rules like this and then back here. Only difference is this time he was the manager and not the assistant. Hes either a liar or an imbecile. If Canada get in the shit for spying, you can be damn well assured all other countries where football is a more popular sport than it is in Canada have strict rules. As they should. Playing under the pretence of working towards bonuses, contract extensions etc and have it took away because of stuff out their control is not right. How deep does it go though? Did they know the info Southampton were getting and telling their players came from spying or not?

Boro cant appeal. They arent in the room and EFL didnt let them in. Its why they put that statement out on Friday. They wanted to be in the room and EFL (or this commission) said they couldn't be.

Bournemouth in the champions league would be wild!
-
The EFL said it would be "working to try and resolve any appeal on Wednesday 20 May". It added that "subject to the outcome, it could result in a further change to Saturday's fixture". The appeal will be heard by an Independent League Arbitration panel with three new members.

Sky Sports News understands that Southampton have already lodged their appeal to the commission's findings and will be fighting the decision. The EFL has acknowledged that the appeal's outcome "could result in a further change to Saturday's fixture". Sky Sports News reporter Mark McAdam said the Saints are "shocked and flabbergasted" by the verdict, adding they believe the sanction to be "disproportionate". He said: "Southampton feel they still have a very strong chance they will play Hull on Saturday after an appeal. "Nobody expected these to be the sanctions. This is the biggest possible punishment Saints could have been given."

Apparently oxford beat them in the game they spied on. 🤣
-
Probably will. I doubt he acted alone though when driving 5 hours up north.
-
"The admitted breaches concern fixtures against Oxford United in December 2025, Ipswich Town in April 2026 and Middlesbrough in May 2026." "The EFL is now in discussion with all three clubs regarding the implications of today's decision and will make a further announcement in due course." Wonder what the other clubs will get for being victims then.

I think they kept the squad together still for this reason.

Should all come out the wages of the twat behind the tree and the idiots who told him to do it.
-
Why? Even if the points were deducted now they still wouldnt make the top 6. No precident set that if a team gets booted out it drops to p7. If anything it should have been boro get a Bye

You love to see it! I cant see a world where they wont appeal. I just dont know how that is going to work. The bloke who filmed them is probably in hiding somewhere right now. Will be interesting to see what evidence etc comes out in the end.

Gone a bit off track if it heads south out of Ukraine to Romainia then north to Russia.

I was stunned to find out Pep had been there 10 years! Sure didn't feel like that long to me. Then again, in my head the pandemic was only 3 years ago. We won't be a 2nd thought to him if he gets that job. Maybe having those sorts of players suits his style more than ours. Top asked him once to play like Man City. Looks like he will.

All it says is it's an "All Star XI" but nothing else has been said apart from that. They update the post from time to time on the website to add more names. "Our former skipper Wes Morgan will captain the Legends team, which will include members of our title-winning squad. It has recently been confirmed this team will also feature Robert Huth, Leonardo Ulloa, Andy King, Christian Fuchs, Jeff Schlupp, Marc Albrighton, Daniel Amartey and Yohan Benalouane. Kasper Schmeichel will be in attendance, but not on the pitch due to injury, and we'll be announcing more returning Foxes heroes over the coming days and weeks" So we don't really have much more than that. Can't think who may make an all star team. Champions League final, possibly the play off final if it's moved and the world cup camps starting, I can't see it being anyone more than a few former players who are just passing by with nothing better to do.

The latter is a flat no. No one is consitent at it, they are not memoeable and none were good enough to reach the heights they did. This years most of all. Sweden bring a big one every year as they have an x factor style tv festival of it annually and even then they throw a banger at the wall and it doesnt stick, like last night, or they are near the top. They have broken the code by putting effort in. Norway also do the same and make songs you remember. The former is a conspiracy theory black hole i could fall into, but i feel the changes where when you vote jt has to come from a payment card of a bank in that country has failed. The only thing that hampered Israel slightly was the change in promotion and advertisement of songs and the fact they were told 2 weeks ago to stop with their usual tactics of saying everyone had to vote for them 10 times. EBU will never fix it. The juries didnt fix the political bloc voting, taking them away in semi's when they were found vote swapping didnt, bringing them back caused the issues to come back. Eurovision is always political and you can brush it aside, now its being made to look clearly political and its turning folks away.
-
Thats the jury vote. Audience gave 12 to bulgaria, 10 to Israel, 8 to romania and 7 to Australia. I forget the rest.
-
I am an unashamed Eurovision fanatic and the short answer is its state sponsored cheating. They changed the vote system this year as last year and the year before as they do ad campaigns and stuff in multiple languages to gather votes and tell people to vote 10/20 times for them, which isnt allowed but only in breach of "the spirit of the competition". There are 2 conspiracy theories that run riot on Reddit. One is a lot of the jewish communities in many countries will block vote for Israel, the others saying Israel themselves are finding the loopholes and funding it. When it was you just needed a phone numver from that country to vote, you can spin up an eSIM in seconds. Now it is 1 payment card and locks to the users location. VPN and a few cards will get you lots of votes easy. EBU had already put the Israel broadcaster on notice that it doesnt seem to be very open jouralistic wise and may be excluded. They let them in anyway and took the brunt of losing some big countries, one of the big 5 and having to overhaul its rules, only for Israel to do it again and show that the new rules didnt change much at all. All the shite the hosts were spouting of "we hope to see you back" etc etc. You wont get them back until this stops. It is at the end of the day a stupid song contest that gets political one way or the other, but folks feel its weaponised right now. We can all take shit songs winning and good songs coming last, but Israel havent had the 2nd best song 3 years in a row despite what the board says. Folks who like Eurovison just want their shitty song contest back and it not to be being used as a propaganda tool in the middle east. Good Bulgaria were not in the contest for something like 7 years, come in and win it. I liked the song, but their semi final performance wasnt the best. It was better tonight. In our guys defence too, he sounded less shit tonight than he did Thursday, but I honestly thought he was miming at points, and miming poolry.
