Car joining the A50 from Anstey lane this morning. Had been at the junction a while before I got there. Few hundred yard gaps in traffic and wouldn't move. And again. They were literally waiting for the entire carriageway to be empty back to the Groby junction. I've ended up beeping them, they moved forward enough (their positioning was atrocious as well) for me to get past and on my way. As i peered back.... they just sat there

I saw a driver approach the A46 (fast moving) dual carriageway at 35mph this morning. They then slowed to 30 when they left the slip lane to join it. No exaggeration, I was behind them and I stayed in the slip lane for the next exit. They walk amongst us.😱

Not my annoyance, but that of others. Ratby Lane is closed due to a gas leak, fair enough. But coming from J21a there are no signs at the first junction that the road ahead is closed, let alone diversion signs. This was last night and this morning. It isn't until you get to the Blood Hill roundabout you see that the road is closed and people pulling up by the sign looking utterly confused. They then go through Kirby causing traffic carnage. Surely you'd have diversion signs up to send them through Glenfield and New Parks and onto the Industrial estate/A47/ring road?

Worst of all is that public transport is poor and the amount of housing being built where people need to rely on cars, in a few decades time it will be very problematic.

Age. AA want to ban under 25s from having a passenger in the car yet over 80s are just as dangerous (and both sexes as for under 25s, predom male issue).
