Guest Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Go into one of towns Wetherspoons (High Cross/Lloyds/Last Plant) and sit drinking in it all day today. Monday Club.
Juvenile Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Victory show coming up, went last year and enjoyed it, kinda like a WW2 scenario. Google it if your in to them kinda things.
Christoph Posted 10 August 2015 Posted 10 August 2015 Went to mini golf the other day at blaby golf centre with the girlfriend. Only cost 4 quid each and it was a proper laugh. Werent bad to kill an hour or so off.
Foxhateram Posted 10 August 2015 Author Posted 10 August 2015 Had a great weekend, spent pretty much the whole day Sunday at braggie, walked the majority of the park and got some great photos of the deer, old John and the ruins. Really enjoyed a nice long walk. Got some good deals at fosse park shopping centre too. Things are so much cheaper in Leicester then they are in Devon. Overall a great weekend. Got my program poster signed by most of the players after the game on Saturday too. Chuffed. realised there is lots more to do in Leicester than I thought. Thanks everyone for some great suggestions.
Spudulike Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 If you're coming up for the Spurs match then this might be a laugh.... http://www.leicester-oktoberfest.co.uk/index.php?section=about_oktoberfest
stulcfc Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Tropical bird land . Cheap entry, a good day out and there's loads of fit birds
Brenfox Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Is that the one in Desford? I thought it was rubbish & it was something scandalous like £15 to get in. Plus you get attacked by birds at the end. I hate birds. I don't know why I went
Wymsey Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Twinlakes (if you have kids). Charnwood Forest Park.

I hate birds. I don't know why I went yeah that's the one it was about £15 entry but that was for me the missus and two little ones so I thought it was a great price . Probably not the best place to go to tho if you hate birds like you said .
Foxhateram Posted 13 August 2015 Author Posted 13 August 2015 If you're coming up for the Spurs match then this might be a laugh.... http://www.leicester-oktoberfest.co.uk/index.php?section=about_oktoberfest This does look good! May well be coming to the Spurs game too. Although, refuse to pay 60 quid for the premier inn this time, toilet paper was like sand paper! Not good after a balti pukka pie.
Rob1742 Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 Another good one if you have kids is Wickstead Park in Kettering. It's an old fashioned mini theme park that costs about £3 to get in. There is a park, funfair and amusements, crazy golf, a train, a few water rides and boats. Oh, Go-Karts too. The good thing is you can spend what you want, rather than fork out a large entrance fee. Good for kids of all ages and loads of grass to play footie on.
