BoyJones Posted 21 September 2015 Posted 21 September 2015 Due to poor long term planning, I am ironically in London this weekend celebrating? our 40th wedding anniversary. Two of mates are well happy using our season tickets, but I am hopeful of getting a couple of hours to myself about 3pm. If any London based fans know of any pubs showing the game somewhere central, I would be grateful if you would post some recommendations. I am sure the game must be on somewhere, if not will just wander down to the Stags Head. Thanks.
filbertstreet Posted 21 September 2015 Posted 21 September 2015 Anywhere in Finsbury will show it but you'll probably get stabbed
SemperEadem Posted 21 September 2015 Posted 21 September 2015 Down in London aswell next weekend. Is the stags head the pub owned by a Leicester fan and where all the London foxes meet?

Nigel top guy and nice boozer. Id be almost certain the Arsenal game wont be on in there though as its not televised in this country.
Out Foxed Posted 21 September 2015 Posted 21 September 2015 Oh yeah, it's not a featured game is it. They only show legit games.

Sleepy Fox Posted 21 September 2015 Posted 21 September 2015 Not officially. Wow, so how do you watch 3:00 games? Why would they not televise them? Seems like lost revenue to me. So there is no "season pass" for a couple hundred quid that lets you watch every match for every team?

The lower league teams believe, probably rightly, that televised matches would affect their attendances. You can watch all the PL games on the internet anyway so it's unlikely that many would pay.

Makes sense. I did not know 3:00 was the standard kickoff time for the lower leagues. I get every game over here, but I have to get up early if I want to see the 12:45 game. (6:45 AM for me) Sorry for the thread hijacking.

I'm guessing a fair number would subscribe if the package included a good quality, reliable HD stream of every game and the price was not completely unreasonable.

Some would I'm sure. With the games on the internet it changes the situation for the lower league clubs anyway. Who knows how these things will evolve?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 September 2015 Posted 21 September 2015 The Cardigan Arms in Islington will be showing it I think, they usually show City games.
