Schmeichel - Haven't watched the goals back but could he have done more with any of them. The first looked a very good strike but in a position that you would imagine him to get at least a hand on. May have just dipped a lot. 5

Simpson - Nothing too notable. Needs to get better on the ball though. 5

Benalouane - Thought he looked pretty solid overall. 6

Wasilewski - See Benalouane although not quite as good. 5

Chilwell - Like I say I've not seen the goals back but the first did come from his side, which is a black mark for him on a night where otherwise he looked very good. Really good dribbler and really good crosser. Hint of Baines about him. 7

Dyer - After his winner against Villa and his positive impact against Southampton, I thought we'd produced a really clever signing. Turns out I was wrong. He's been absolutely awful for months and I haven't got a clue why. Tonight was another episode of that. 3

Drinkwater - Not really noticeable. 5

King - See Drinkwater. 5

Inler - Don't find him particularly reliable. Spots a good pass every now and then but doesn't really impact a game enough for me. Think his days here are numbered. 5

Gray - Thought he tried to do too much at times but it's pretty clear there's a talented player here. He's got a lot of work to do but he can definitely make it at this level I think. Very nice dribbler and I'm convinced he'll score a screamer this season. 7

Ulloa - Sad seeing someone look so far out of his depth after being a big part of our season last time around. He looks completely unsuited to our style of play and whilst I have a degree of sympathy with him as he doesn't fit our system, he doesn't do himself any favours. He was, again, shite. 3

Subs were anonymous barring Okazaki, who seems to have seriously improved his touch all of a sudden.

Tottenham - For all we were poor I thought they looked quality at times and it's not hard to see why they're in genuine top four contention this season. 7

Referee - I thought the ref got nearly everything spot on tonight and what else can you ask for? 9

Ranieri - No real commitment to winning the game, no formation that suited the players and poorly timed subs again. A big black mark against his name tonight. Awful. 2

All this..except Chilwell who people are saying was better than he was IMO. He'd get a 6 from me. Other than that, exactly how I saw it.

Kasper 5 Think he could have got nearer to Son's goal.

Simpson 5 He can defend but he's not great on the ball. Offers nothing in attack

Wasilewski 5 Silly foul on Kane deserved a yellow. Lost his man for the second goal too

Benalouane 6 Looked solid enough

Chilwell 6 Thought he could have done more to try and stop Son's shot. Lovely on the ball though, such a contrast to our other fullback

Dyer 2 No idea what he's done in the last few games to deserve a start. He's awful, no wonder Swansea let us have him

King 6 Busy and kept going but no real influence

Inler 5 For an international captain, he should have far more influence over a game than he does. Anonymous

Drinkwater 6 Did ok but out of position

Gray 7 Probably our best player. Kept trying things, good effort in the second half

Ulloa 4 Awful but the tactic to play him on his own was ridiculous

Ranieri has really irritated me with this team selection. It's like he couldn't care less about the cup. Ridiculous formation. We have totally changed our style and now play too many long balls.

Hopefully back to our attacking style on Saturday versus Stoke. Starting to get a bit worried that Ranieri's record of starting well at a club then slowly fading away and becoming defensive is beginning to happen.

I pretty much echo posts by Dan and Dickov22.

Kasper 5 - Should have got to the first goal

Simpson 5 - Don't think he was ready or perhaps even fit to play

Wasyl 5

Benalyoune 6

Chilwell 6 - Another bright performance, confident player

Dyer 3 - Offers absolutely nothing

Inler 6 - Thought he showed quality in parts

King 6

Drinkwater 6

Gray 7 - Our best player, the only attacking threat we had

Ulloa 4 - Poor but I felt for him in that formation. No support. Not much more he could do.

Renieri 4 - Selection and formation poor. I didn't understand bringing on Albrighton at full back either.

Spurs 7 - Good. They might go far in the competition.

Referee 6 - Best referee performance in a while.

Kasper 5.5 (The goal was a screamer but i'm not sure of his positioning and felt he perhaps should have got something on it assuming his insurance would have covered the consequences).
Simpson 5 (Not his usual standard. We were opened up like Aladdin's Cave on occasions).
Wasyl 4 (Love the bloke. Gave him an extra point for denying Kane a deep breath but was caught turning like a laden oil tanker for the second goal and seemed at a bit under par in general).
Benalouane 6 (Well involved with some important blocks and clearances but made his mistakes too. May yet make his mark).
Chilwell 7 (Arguably MoM. Well impressed by the way he reacted to his mistake for their first goal. Okay he lost a mak for that but was otherwise fully involved in defence and attack, always assured, always thoughtful and may even have made a goal with a dinked cross. Always constructive and showed more attacking skill than I expected).
Dyer 3 (So well named judging by his recent contributions and this was little better. Saw more of the ball but, save for one good run seemed to constantly lose the ball, mis-control it, make the wrong decision or simply have no constructive effect. I just don't see what purpose he serves)
King 6 (Generally accurate with his passing - as almost always - but seemed a bit laboured. One runner got away before their first goal and while i presume we were marking zonally, I thought someone needed to take responsibility. Posed very little attacking threat and I never feel that he teams up as well with Drinkwater as others but that may be the same kind of illusion I had with him and Wellens).
Inler 4 (People keep suggesting he's a good player waiting to happen for us but I just don't see it. He had enough touches but seemed so lightweight and unable to dominate in any capacity. Seemed to fall over to often and it wasn't good to see their goals arising through his department. Didn't offer anything in an attacking sense either so, no, just another disappointing outing for me).
Drinkwater 5 (Like the rest of the team I'm not sure he was ever at full throttle. Certainly he wasn't at his incisive or industrious best with "anonymous" perhaps the kindest verdict I can come up with).
Gray 7 (Between him and Chilwell for MoM because he looked keen to stay involved and constantly tried to make something happen. Might so easily have scored with an attempted bender off his right foot but needs to work harder on his free kicks. Not afraid to take people on, varied his crosses a bit but perhaps tends to turn onto his favoured right foot too often. Mistakes to work on - like releasing the ball quickly on occasions to keep defenders in two minds but altogether a promising effort and a massive improvement on Dyer's efforts down the other flank)
Ulloa 5 (Not quite as bad as portrayed because he did have a chance or two and did make the odd chance. But he still looked wooden and short of the natural rhythm that makes a good striker. It's clear we're not getting the best of him by not linking him with a consistent partner but that didn't excuse his poor touch or lack of sharpness at times).

Vardy had one excellent chance as a sub and Shinji brought a little more urgency to the action but neither were worth rating.
Ranieri lost an ideal chance to perhaps try a radically different strategy, like three at the back, but I'm not convinced we actually wanted to win and add more fixtures to our programme in any case. For me the positives concerned Gray and Chilwell but otherwise our team looked like a random gathering of people with no great purpose or desire.

Watched the game yesterday, It was so clear to see we had no midfield bite.  We missed Kante big time he is a important clog in the LCFC machine.

Most the team were either 5 or 6.

But i'm going to point out one man that I think it just crap.  Andy King.

Any game and I see Kings name starting, I think for the worse.  Draw or loss.

He just doesn't offer anything to our system, we have tred to fit him in so many times but the performance in general are poor.

Yesterdays game his rating was 3, poor.

Some how he wriggles his way into the team so many times it's incredible (mostly through training sessions trying to be some sort of leader trying impress the teacher, Claudio).

Yes he's been here for ages, but come on LCFC have to wake up, he's chumpionship quality.

Inler 6 - is quality he should be given more chances than King.

Dyer was Dire - 4

Danny D was crap he's definitely one that can easily put his foot off the gas

As mentioned the rest 5.5/6

I've never seen anything in all the time he's been here to suggest he's in the same class as King. Not in any aspect of his game. And no that's not being biased.

We need as many good players in our squad as we can get. When Kante showed up there was no doubting the bloke's class from day one. His boundless energy and ability to snatch the ball from anyone, anywhere were a revelation to the extent that even his worst performances have been better than Inler's best.

With any luck Amartey will be another big plus, Kingy will become one of our reliable "go-to's" on the bench if others are struggling and I can't see much light for Inler at all because he's not good enough and seemingly far more suited to continental football than The Premiership
