Adster Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 Personally think a lot of younger people have slower reaction times, because they have to finish texting or finish talking on the phone before they focus on the road. Don't agree fully with this. I've seen plenty of young people on phone but older people are just as bad for this in my opinion. I've come accross some awful drivers, and I'm not generalising at all but most of them are old. They're either driving so slow it's actually considered dangerous or have absolutely no idea what's going on around them. It's terrible.
RonnieTodger Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 I think they should, but it should be free. Regardless of age, if they're not good enough to pass, do you want them to drive on the same road as you? I think the main issue is waiting time, rather than the embarrassment. You have to wait long enough for your driving test as it is.
Fox92 Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 Came across an 89 year old man driving the wrong way round a large and busy roundabout the other day, one roundabout before an M1 junction!! If he'd gone the wrong way down the next one then he'd have been going the wrong way down the M1 Wtf man, as I've said before regardless of age it's just stupid to drive around something like a roundabout the wrong way. I mean it wouldn't even make sense!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 I've never witnessed it but a mate of mine was forced off a roundabout on his motorbike once cause a really old bloke was driving the wrong way around it - apparently with his nose basically pressed up to the windscreen completely oblivious
Samilktray Posted 17 February 2016 Posted 17 February 2016 Old people who drive are truly terrifying.
DB11 Posted 17 February 2016 Author Posted 17 February 2016 Wtf man, as I've said before regardless of age it's just stupid to drive around something like a roundabout the wrong way. I mean it wouldn't even make sense! The most scary thing was that he didn't even realise he was doing anything wrong. I pointed it out to him and he said well I was just doing the same as everyone else, it's quite a confusing layout  No... no you weren't following everyone else because you were the only one doing it and everyone else had literally just stopped and hoped you didn't hit them
