Soon the madness on the transfer window will see great changes.

Currently we have

Players almost forced to join us

Players refused a transfer to us

Players under contract being tapped up

Players soon out of contract wasting time to get a lucrative move

All this madness will end soon , Fifpro won't loose its court case , like Bosman this will revolutionise the game we love.

But will it be for the better ? Clubs will loose all control over player , movements will be free and without tie.

And what will Jim White do with his yellow ties ? lol

The players' union wants four key changes made to the rules:

  • Any player not paid by their club for more than 30 days can terminate their contract providing they have given the club at least 10 days' written notice
  • If a contract is terminated by the club without just cause or by the player for non-payment, the player should be compensated by having the contract paid out by the club
  • Any player without a contract after the process above should be able to find work immediately, without having to wait for a transfer window to open
  • These reforms should apply domestically and internationally

I would have thought that 2 and 3 already happened.

How will this see big changes? As long as players are paid they are still under contract and can't move around freely, so I can't see your point.

This is a selection of some of the transfer headlines and you start to think players are not people or employees but some sorted of well paid slave servicing his master and his future is controlled at his masters own interests !

This is madness , if I resign from work serve my garden leave then I can move and work where I want !

People say players have all the power , it doesn't seem like that to me , contracts as we know them and player slavery are soon to go forever , transfer fees are going to die !

Fifpro is going to end all this and sooner the better

"Newcastle will not be able to sign West Brom striker Saido Berahino, 22, as the Baggies do not want to sell him to another club near the bottom of the Premier League" (what the player wants isn't even discussed)

However Milan have rejected the approach from the Premier League leaders and have insisted that the France Under-21 international is not for sale.

"However Milan have rejected the approach from the Premier League leaders and have insisted that the France Under-21 international is not for sale" (what if the player wants to move , why Should be be told otherwise)

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink says 30-year England centre-half Gary Cahill is not for sale, despite him only starting five games in the past two months. (How can Guss be able to dictate to his employee where he and his family live or work)

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone wants to swap 29-year-old striker Jackson Martinez for Chelsea's 27-year-old forward Diego Costa. (Swap ? What if the player wants to stay in Spain)

This will bankrupt all but the biggest teams.

Not a hope ! It will strengthen and secure many weak teams

A 92 team professional league is totally crazy ! That's the issue too many teams are non viable and I think it will need to return to amateur game and that will have fantastic consequences for the higher up chain ,

Too much money is fixated on the buying and selling of player flesh !

No one really wins in transfer fees only middle men and shady deal makers !

It's high tide transfer fees went and players get free movement within the comfines of contacts

Contracts will still exist like in the real world but the grip of registration will be lifted !

It's lucky for you that it won't be your club going out of business.

If a player terminates his contract for non-payment how can he expect to then have the remainder of his contract paid by the club?? If they could afford it they'd have paid the wages to begin with...

Be the same scenario we had with Wise which I believe was if we paid up the full amount of his contract in one lump sum we would have been declared bankrupt instead we chose administration which I also believe meant he got nothing.

And the modern slavery goes on !

The Lad at West brom is a pure example of why these registrations and contracts on players are disgraceful

Sooner European laws are applied to football the better

Contacts will be much more clear on break clauses

The contracts are not fit for purpose they are too closely linked to registration which is another system of enslaving players to the master clubs

The system is disgraceful and it will end

Slavery: a condition of having to work very hard without proper remuneration or appreciation.

When did Adrian Durham join foxestalk?

Not first time I have been accused of that lol

Players are given massive contracts, and in return sign for a club for a period of time suitable for the club. If they want to be able to move sooner than their long contract offer would expire, they should sign a contract for a shorter period. The reason they don't is because the clubs won't pay them so much for a shorter contract. The players (and agents) are happy to rake in the massive weekly wages, but don't want to honour a contract which they've agreed to honour.

As silly as this next point might sound, it's a fairly similar scenario.

If you get a free iPhone when you sign up to a 24 month phone contract, you can't take the phone, pay for the monthly payments for 12 months and just decide to stop paying and still keep the iPhone. The phone is given to you on the basis that you pay your contract. It's obviously a reversed scenario but it's a 'real world' comparison of what's going on.

Simply not true the clubs insist on the long deals to protect thier "investment" or "transfer/slave fee" and future resale value

Here is how it will happen from 2020

Arsenal want Riyad to play for them

They will offer him a contract which will have break clauses inserted for both parities and incremental termination fees and caveats like "gardening leave" should he leave during season etc......

Arsenal will pay no transfer fee to Leicester so the player will realise the full worth of his value:ability for himself and will sign this contact worth £50m over 5 years.

All normal and sane in the real world of employment law.

Registrations will die and players will not be held to ransom by the likes of the WBA chairman.

Is coming and sooner the better , it will end the shadowy world of organised crime owning players accross the world !

Football will be cleaner and more accountable once transfer fees are abolished !

It's coming and it's only a matter of time ! Bosman came and now Fifpro will come.

The first line of your post is essentially what I was getting at.

The rest I agree with, it's just a matter of breaking the cycle clubs/players are currently in.

I know the clubs shoulder the majority of the blame for how football is at the minute, however I still feel the greed of players and agents has only made things worse.

One last point... please don't mention Riyad to Arsenal again, it makes me sad!
