Buce Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Does anyone know how to find the landline number of an address? My mate is trying to set-up broadband at a new address, but can't get past the bit where it asks for the number.
Beliall Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 you're IP should give you landline with the broadband
Buce Posted 5 April 2016 Author Posted 5 April 2016 The address doesn't currently have broadband connected. Neither is there an active phone line.

My mate is trying to set-up broadband at a new address, but can't get past the bit where it asks for the number. Addresses aren't assigned telephone numbers anymore. Depends on his provider also. If he has BT, they won't give you broadband without a landline. BT obviously would the first port of call.
W88DY Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 The address doesn't currently have broadband connected. Neither is there an active phone line. Well surely this means that you`ve not got to your activation date yet?
DB11 Posted 6 April 2016 Posted 6 April 2016 Neither is there an active phone line. Then how can there be a phone number?
Buce Posted 6 April 2016 Author Posted 6 April 2016 Then how can there be a phone number? Each address had a phone number attached to it, something which SF says is no longer true.
Captain... Posted 6 April 2016 Posted 6 April 2016 Is he moving his broadband, or setting up a new one? Either way just call the broadband provider and they will sort it out. If it is a new build property it may be that they aren't all connected yet, I had this issue when I moved into my new place, the BT open reach man came round to connect the phone line and they hadn't even set-up the cables yet so it couldn't be done. Ended up going with a cable provider so didn't need a phone line in the end. It was more expensive than BT or Sky, but no line rental meant it worked out the same for a faster service.
