LCFCABC Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 We were in there sat amongst what I'd say were a fairly rough group of Everton fans. We were respectful and likewise they were. Spent a lot of the game talk to each other about the season Saw the trouble. It was 2 meat head Leicester fans and a women taking the piss. They got moved then did exactly the same somewhere else before getting kicked out A lot of the trouble was actually Everton fans fighting amongst themselves. We asked why and got the rather predictable 'we're scousers and love a scrap' Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but was a nice view point of the stadium looking across at all the Leicester fans. Not something we'd done before. I'd recommend it to other just as a change up
LCFCABC Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Just to add. I think the whole 'jumping on the bandwagon, glory supporter' thing is absolute tosh I've been a supporter all my live. Work and kids means I'm unable to go every week and limit chances now to get a season ticket. Likewise my dad has been a supporter since the 60's going regularly for the last 50 years but similarly struggles due to work commitments It was an honour to be there at the weekend.
cityfanlee23 Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 If someone can't handle their drink and wants to fight at a game just ban them for life, it's pretty simple, if you're going to sit in the away end, be respectful and if anyone is causing trouble stay out of it. If you fight, I hope you never get near the stadium again, because you're a complete waste of a seat and the club is better off without you.

smr Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Well that's bleeding obvious isn't it ^ not like the club are going to give them a lifetime membership award for getting pissed before the game and getting into a fight. Disgraceful. I don't associate people like that with our club.
smr Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Another thing is the bottle throwers in the concourse and outside - they should be given lifetime bans. A bloke gets banned from the final two home games and ejected by 10 security guards for inhaling liquid vapour, causing no harm or distress to anyone, but we've got people throwing bottles 20-30 ft through the air landing on people's heads. They'd better put some effort into sorting that out. I hope they' got those responsible on camera.
FoxesDeb Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I don't associate people like that with our club. Lucky you weren't sitting near me on Saturday then, the fans near me were looking for trouble and they found it...
smr Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Lucky you weren't sitting near me on Saturday then, the fans near me were looking for trouble and they found it... We were pretty close to L1, no trouble near that side. where were you?
FoxesDeb Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 We were pretty close to L1, no trouble near that side. where were you? M1 row V, seats 4 hundred and something

westwinds31 Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 No problem at all, kept my head down and didn't wear colours, which would be asking for trouble. The actual trouble was handbags at best....nothing compared to the 1980s !!

I don't get this 'jumping on the bandwagon, glory supporter' thing either. I don't live in Leicester so get to as many games as I can. For that reason I'm a member and not a season ticket holder. Everyone know there weren't enough tickets for the highest levels of membership, so I had to get in somehow. As a result, i sat in the away end. Not 'jumping on the bandwagon' or being a 'glory supporter', just ensuring I get to the game. PS I was a supporters club member at Filbert Street and sat in that corner for 20 years.
smr Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 Good for you mate ^I must admit I was a bit apprehensive before the game about going in with my shirt on and even suggested to my old man that we might want to turn our shirts inside out but he refused to, and, upon reflection, that was exactly the right thing to do, and I'm glad we didn't... so we went in with our Leicester shirts on, and had no trouble at all, infact, and I'm sure I've mentioned this before (yawn) we were congratulated by about 20 Everton fans outside the turnstyles, shook hands with a few of them, and when we got into the stadium I personally got congratulated by an old Everton fan and his lad for not being a tit like the drunk Leicester fans who got ejected were being!Considering we were in the away end, there was a heck of a lot of of people in Leicester shirts, and in hindsight and on reflection I'd be sat here annoyed as **** right now if I'd have decided to leave my shirt at home and go in a plain blue t-shirt or something.Whatever's said, it was OUR day, not theirs, whether we were in the away end or the home end, it didn't matter, as long as we were respectful of them and didn't go mental celebrating (during the match itself) and showed them a good level of respect there was no harm whatsoever in wearing our club's badge and our colours with pride. And LaCiudad, good for you, I was there when we were shit as well, STs multiple years at Filbert St. cold rainy away games, all the cup finals, semi finals / playoffs since '91, dozens of memberships etc. in between. In my family I'm the 4th of five generations of Leicester City fans. But people's circumstances change. Some people harp away on here like they've had a Season Ticket or at least a 'Gold' level membership every season since they could walk and get on their high horse about Leicester fans in the away end. Absolute bollocks! Not everyone could make this game due to the absolutely mental demand for it. Fact is there's a shit load more than 30,000 life long, old school Leicester City fans knocking about all over the Country/world who wanted to be at the game, thankfully we were lucky enough to be there. If anything the Leicester fans who did get ejected (and rightfully so) are probably life long fans themselves and far from being bandwaggon jumpers. Who's to say any different? They spoilt their day for themselves. That's all there is to it.
Gforce19 Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 The occasion meant there was never going to be a problem unless behaving like an idiot, also Everton had nothing to play for so their fans didn't care as long as respect was shown, anyone sitting in their area deserved a well done for getting in by whatever means in order to see history , however I have sat in with the home fans while following Leicester away three times in order to get into the game through my life and although it can be good sampling the atmosphere from the opposition angle it is has always been restrictive and dangerous . Anfield , Hillsborough and Carrow Road . At Anfield and Hillsborough I was with my brother on both occasions and we had to leave early otherwise we would literally have been kicked in (both in our arrogant 20's at the time )and and at Carrow Road FACup a couple of years ago I wasn't in danger however if I had been rumbled as a Leicester fan would have been ejected, so had to sit in silence pretending to be annoyed at the referee when not etc , Would do it again rather than miss a game but prefer to be able to shout and sing with the Leicester fans.
