coolcol Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Did you sit on your hands all game...did you cheer (or not when we scored)... What was the Everton fans reaction to you, and would you do it again?
Ashley Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Did you sit on your hands all game...did you cheer (or not when we scored)... What was the Everton fans reaction to you, and would you do it again? I sit next to the away section and I believe there was a bit of trouble Saturday
smr Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 copy and pasted from another thread: didn't get any bother at all, even had one everton fan in front of me turn around and congratulate me and me dad for being behaved "at least theres some good Leicester fans here" he said. I was wearing my Leicester shirt and my Dad was wearing a Leicester Champions T Shirt and put his Leicester shirt on at the end of the game. We both clapped when we scored and when we got corners etc . but we couldn't go mental when we scored like we do when we're in the home end. had a few everton fans walking past us after the trophy lifting congratulating us again and shaking hands with us... the fighting that broke out did look a little nasty, one 20 stone leicester fan kicked a steward if i saw correctly, nasty ****er, and missed us lifting the trophy and the rest of the game, what an utter bell.Standing in the away end and not respecting their team is retarded.
smr Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I heard there was some trouble but no other details. from what i saw it was just for about 5 minutes scuffling in the first half, after vardy's goal... a couple of larey leicester fans havin drank too much and going wild. apart from that i didn't hear or see anything... majority of us, and it was around half full with leicester fans, were really well behaved and respectful.
FoxesDeb Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Did you sit on your hands all game...did you cheer (or not when we scored)... What was the Everton fans reaction to you, and would you do it again? Well I forgot where I was for the first goal and celebrated as normal, with no reaction from the Evertonians. However some of our fans near me started goading them, and it all got a bit hairy near me, in fact the poor man 3 seats up from me got knocked to the ground (not sure who he was supporting) I was so busy trying to watch what was happening as it was so close to me, loads of pushing and shoving and coppers and stewards, that I completely missed the second goal. I actually thought I might leave at half time if it carried on, I'm a woman on my own and did feel a bit vulnerable, and I don't scare easily. But when it calmed down it was mainly ok again. I'm surprised at our fans who've said the Evertonians were great, the ones near me weren't happy our fans were there, but then they were in colours and waving flags! maybe I was just unlucky to be in the thick of it. They did seem ok at the end though, even the ones who reacted to ours, and were applauding us at the end. Yes I would do it again, wouldn't want to have missed it for the world, but I do think our fans taunting the away fans spoiled it for themselves as they got removed and missed out. If you're going to sit in an away end, you have to show respect.
shade Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 it was fine, a few Leicester fans were just disrespectful wearing shirts and waving flags and cheering etc, I wa surprised they got in to be honest. we were standing all game, so it was just a more muted celebration when we scored, but other than that not that much difference.
Bunyip Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Well it was everton fans who sold the tickets to the Leicester fans get in there so they can have no complaints can they.
EastAnglianFox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I'm guessing the fans singing and wearing Leicester shirts openly in the Everton end were the first timers or band wagon jumpers as surely you just wouldn't be so stupid to do so, in any away end. Lacked class did that and with the Everton bunch not being the happiest lot lately, they would have been lucky to escape a slap or two.
Itsthejoeker Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Anyone see that steward shove the fat guy in the grey shirt down the stairs?

lee7 Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 It was absolutely fine where I was standing. I was stood on my own (not in colours) and around me must have been 30-40 Leicester fans obviously more Everton fans than Leicester but I stood and sang all game without any trouble. I joined in with all of the Leicester chants and the Everton fans sang their own songs too, they were friendly and really chatty. It was obviously not the same as being in the home end but I probably could not of wished for a better bunch of evertonians around me.
Tincy Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Bit of handbags but nothing major, majority of Everton fans were good as gold
MrSpaM Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Got a mate who was in the away end that said the only bother was from about 30 Leicester fans that had decided to turn up in their Leicester shirts and celebrated our goals like complete nutters. There were a few punches thrown apparently. I can understand why people got tickets in the away end, but not respecting their fans was a bit moronic tbh. Fair enough put your Leicester shirt on at the end of the game but don't turn up wearing it all covered in LCFC face paint giving it the big one all game.
LaCiudad Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 It was fine. Everton fans really friendly. People had Leicester flags, shirts and scarves. I'd say half in there were Leicester. Those that acted ridiculously got trouble, everyone else was fine. City fans I spoke to were Gold and Silver members.
stripeyfox Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 There should not have been any problem really and most likely any trouble was the result of Leicester "fans" acting like complete tools.
Foxymcoxy Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I had a bunch of Leicester fans around me but a bit of an agitated Everton fan there too. I just watched the game without making much noise either way and then joined in after the final whistle. Didn't see any point in pissing off the Everton fans even more than they already were with Martinez.
FoxesDeb Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Anyone see that steward shove the fat guy in the grey shirt down the stairs? No but I did see a female steward in tears begging for help when she got caught in the middle of it on her own. Really can't believe how some of you had such a completely different experience of it, the bloke sat on my right shoved us all out the way to join in, about 15 from the row in front of me managed to get passed the coppers to have a go, and there was a little lad of about 3 in front of me who got accidentally smacked in the face by one of theirs. Saw a few leaving after that, but not sure if they were all asked to leave or if they'd just had enough.
TonyJamesLegend Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I was in row BB with my 2 boys, luckily sat around a few Leicester lads.... Everton fans behind us were lovely folk as were the majority. Few scuffles here and there..... but mainly caused by idiots really ramming it down the Everton fans throats with shirts / flags / celebrating etc. Must of been a good 500 left in there at the end all Leicester. I would say overall it was fine.... however, I can not Believe that A) fans were allowed in with Leicester tops / flags etc and B) the police / stewards must of known the potential for trouble was there, but even when it did kick off... they took an age to sort it. It really could of kicked off in there on another day.
pete1477 Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 Was in Everton end sat with there fans eather side thay were great . there were a load below me going mad about there manager and got very upset when some Leicester fans who got flags out and started taking piss at 2 nil .thay got ejected buy police and stewards got what thay deserved were young lads ,thay were total morons . I would have been pissed off if it had been other way round. at end of game lot Everton fans stayed till trophy then left. for us to enjoy party .everton fans were a credit to their club .it just a pity a few of our teams mindless young idiots weren't the same

I was unsure about wearing my leicester shirt and said to my dad shall we turn our shirts inside out but he wasn't having it , i couldnt get through the turnstyle any quicker though! but like i said all everton fans around us were friendly with us, just pissed off with martinez!
StriderHiryu Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I was sat in there, and was lucky to sit next to two awesome Everton fans who actually encouraged me to cheer and enjoy the day. However, there was a lot of trouble. A few people had to be removed, and I saw a Leicester Fan hit an Everton fan - he got a bloody nose. The Everton fans I was with did say they felt it was a little embarrassing seeing their fans behave because if they had won the league, they would want to celebrate it. However, at the same time, if you sit with the away fans, you do have to be respectful. I personally did cheer and sing, but didn't rub it in the Everton fans faces. It was more of a respectful / can't believe this is actually happening attitude! Anyway I am so glad I got to be there. It was truly amazing and I don't think I will ever forget the day!

Without proof these guys are bandwagon jumpers or first timers there is no point trying to tar them with that brush. there we lots of drunk idiots everywhere and in some cases just idiots. from sk1 all i could see was coppers everywhere.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I was in M2 Row U and had an Everton fan next to me, absolutely sound and we had a decent chat about both of our teams seasons. The trouble started when some gobby City fans started giving it the big'un when Vardy scored and then even more after Kingy's goal. Everton fans were understandably annoyed with their team and manager without having it rubbed in their faces by fans who officially shouldn't be there. There were a few scuffles and punches thrown, fairly quickly diffused by stewards and police (who were filming everything). Most of the ones I saw who were obviously being too mouthy were removed but I did see a couple of them just being moved to a different area. Personally I couldn't actually believe people were that stupid to be soooo vocal surely knowing that it might end up with them being ejected and missing the trophy presentation after inevitably paying big money for their ticket! I kept pretty quiet throughout, cheered subtly after the goals and none of the Everton guys around me made any issue about it and shook hands with me when they left after the trophy presentation (for which they were full of praise and clapped throughout). Wouldn't have a bad word to say about them and wished them luck for next season. The problems that I saw were solely caused by City fans who showed very little respect for where they were, who was around them and misjudging exactly how pissed off Everton fans were even before the game started!
Great Boos Up Posted 9 May 2016 Posted 9 May 2016 I do remember one weekday night a long time ago in the Carling Stand surrounded by Evertonians ?? They shouted and cheered but were well behaved with no malice at all, just supporting their team. As for the supposed glory hunters jumping the bandwagon and getting away tickets, good for them. If only I could have got one! Remember, there is always a bigger LCFC supporter than you!
