Peachhh Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Hi there, My name is Jack Peach and I’m a Leicester City fan, a season ticket holder who is currently studying a Masters at the University of Leicester in the Department of Sociology. For my dissertation, I am interviewing City fans about the impact of winning the Premier League title and their wider experiences as fans. I am keen to get as many real fans involved as possible. I’d like to gather a wide a range of opinions, so whether you’re a season-ticket holder, an occasional match-goer or a mainly media fan it doesn’t matter. I’d love to hear your views! These interviews will be very informal and I will do them at a time and place which is convenient to you. It should only take about 30-45 minutes. Hopefully, it will be quite interesting for anyone who wants to relive recent events. If you feel this is something you would like to take part in, please email me right away at: jp344@ Student.le.ac.uk so we can set something up. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from some of you soon. Up the City! Jack Peach
Bayfox Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 1 on 1 or would you like a group set up? If you fancy getting a few people's views at one time dm me.
DB11 Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Where's the online survey? I thought that's all the research that goes into dissertations
Peachhh Posted 1 June 2016 Author Posted 1 June 2016 Preferably 1 on 1 interviews, as focus groups can be really hard to both organise and manage in my experience. That said, depending on responses I'm not against the idea, thanks Bayfox. I may message you in a few days time. I'm guessing I won't have to explain to you all the limitations of online surveys DB11 . Cheers for the responses guys.
AKCJ Posted 1 June 2016 Posted 1 June 2016 Best bet is to post the questions you want answering and then letting people reply to this thread (or PM you). I've seen that people get more responses when they post the questions beforehand

I've seen that people get more responses when they post the questions beforehand Cheers for the advice AKCJ. Only problem I have with that is that I won't have 'set questions' which I want to ask, I have an interview guide with certain topics and areas I wish to cover. There are 'ideological' (for want of a better word) reasons for this as I don't want to lead people into certain answers. I want to hear your views on topics and areas, not my questions framing your answers, if that makes sense. That said, there's always a balance between ideology and practical considerations, so depending on responses I may take on this idea. I really appreciate the advice guys, it's made me think about things I hadn't considered prior to posting to the topic.

You would then get a range of answers in one time. Just let me know if you change your mind. Or I would happily meet up if you want.
