And so it was.

Keep posting these when you get a chance, I'm normally useless with cryptics so even getting one word is as good as completing an entire puzzle to me :P

I reckon the chap that compiles these changed a few months ago and they're getting easier. I fill it in most weeks dead easily. I tend to get stuck on the more obvious ones.

Scrap merchant?

Yes, that makes sense. I was thinking the last word would be marching.

Sorry lol

I'm pretty shit at these normally but I've been doing a few myself recently. I've really only just got around to understanding cryptic clues.

How many can you actually answer on your own Webbo :D

Most of them

I could put them in a crossword solver but that's cheating.

Is it one word?

Yep, I thought ennoble but I'm not convinced.

Try this ; Observe a sound N _ _ _

If we get that it'll give us the first letter of the other clue (the third letter in this one)

Either tunable or tenable

Yep, but I don't see how either fits the clue.

I assume no mistakes?

Don't think so. Ten could be a list, sound could be ble (bell) or maybe le. Don't get the space bit.

Tenable - Table is the list and en is the space (as in the printing terms en dash and em dash). Probably....

Yep.

I (we?) were looking at the wrong definition of sound, Webbo.
