The club shouldn't put us in that situation but just in case they do, what im saying is that maybe we should consider respecting it, if not for the king, then just because the owners who have done a lot for us would probably appreciate it. It won't do anyone any harm just staying quiet for a minute if it's a silence or doing a few token claps if its applause. Just for the sake of the owners who have lost a friend, like.
GaelicFox Posted 13 October 2016 Posted 13 October 2016 any twat wanting to show disrespect by booing should feck off and go back to supporting Liverpool ! I cant sing God save the queen , but I stand and show respect to the anthem , because respect costs nothing to give ! You can stay on the concourse if your that fussed but don't embarrass the rest of us who will happily stand in respectful silence to show appreciation for our owners
MC Prussian Posted 13 October 2016 Author Posted 13 October 2016 What are the odds of the family intentionally keeping Bhumipol artificially alive until age 88? After all, the number "8" is a highly prestigious number in Asian mythology. (Just trying to add a little mystery and conspiracy to the whole plot )

At least the team could walk out to 'We are the Champions" with credibility....unless we opted for "Fat-Bottomed Girls". But he has a son, doesn't he? So, will it be the Prince Power Stadium until he's crowned? Will the team have to dress in purple and walk out to Purple Rain - or Purple Reign? As for Baddiel, he SHOULD be jailed - for life - on charges of being David Baddiel. He's another who belongs in the "Most Dislikeable People on TV" thread. Oh, dear....better do some work! Baddiel's a bit irritating, especially since he's tried to turn himself into a Michael Palin world-traveller type. But give him his dues, fantasy football was great. And I've always loved his story about getting beaten up twice by skinheads in London, "once for being a Jew and once for being a 'P*ki'".
Voll Blau Posted 13 October 2016 Posted 13 October 2016 Just to clear this up... The King of Thailand has never played for, managed, supported or been involved with LCFC. There's no way the club or supporters should be doing, or have to do, anything to mark the passing of such a divisive figure.
GaelicFox Posted 13 October 2016 Posted 13 October 2016 Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will become king , he is a nutter by the way made his dog an Air Chief Marshal and the dog had a 4 day state funeral when he died !!! He made his wife dance naked with the dog , I kid you not ! Womanising playboy who has exiled some of his own children and pissed of lots of generals He is considered a real risk to the junta and he may bring back his former corrupt friends and exile some of his daddies best friends , this is a worrying time for our owners the King was on the whole a decent man ruling a mental country really

Or any of the major tragedies we have marked . this man was the personal friend of our owner , this king decreed our owner could earn the fortune that bought our club , this man played a very significant part in the facilitating of the wealth building that was used to make last season happen , indirectly he played a part in us being champions. as a mark of respect to Top his dad and the whole family I think we should honour the man's passing , it's the least we owe them , a bit of respect costs nothing but can go a long way british people are so anal about respecting death !
filbertfoxy00 Posted 13 October 2016 Posted 13 October 2016 Robbie James and Marc North both played for Leicester City, both died young, neither of them recieved a minutes silence or a minutes applause. The king of Thailand deserves the square root of faack all from LCFC fans in terms of a tribute.

The people in Paris were innocent victims of a terrible atrocity who were remembered in silences at football matches across the country, indeed the world, not just by us. He allowed the Thais to build their fortune, well bully for them. Doesn't mean our supporters should be put in a position where they're asked en masse to show respect for someone they may never have even heard of and was, like I say, a controversial figure with a questionable human rights record.

Also, how are our fans "shít" exactly?

How exactly would YOU have organised something like that in the days before the internet, mobile phones and with 8k people rattling around in a ground that was capable of holding 26k? Would you have sent everyone a letter?

That was about the only way to have done it. Its so easy to think how easily word spreads now and forget how different it was then. Hell, we even had to wait outside Leicester station until 6pm for a hastily printed newspaper before we got the days results! It would have been virtually impossible for the fans to have organised any kind tributes.

Well, yeah. Just in time before reaching his 89th birthday. But that's enough of a conspiracy theory here. My hope is the king's passing won't have a negative effect on the relationship between the Royal Family and the Srivaddhanaprabhas. Especially, seeing that Bhumibol's demise could lead to a political vaccuum and instability with all the doubts and escapades regarding his flamboyant son, Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn, who boasts seven children from three women, celebrated his poodle's birthday in extensive fashion (forcing his third wife eating cake off the floor half-naked) and who was last seen posing with an odd top (spot the pun!), a pair of jeans and a fake back tattoo at Munich airport.
