Mike Oxlong Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 I wish we would play without fear again and attack as we did last season like a rampaging band of ferrets. We are better than the hoof/plodball that's being served up at the moment.

Rigga Posted 7 November 2016 Posted 7 November 2016 Our heartbeat in Kante is no longer there.. teams have worked us out with our ball behind the defence and we have no plan B we dont have enough creative players in the team.. no one breaks forward or links midfield to attack.. basically we we are easy to play against and very predictable..
Donut Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 The thing that is striking to me, is the absolute lack of technical ability in the squad. Thats why Drinkwater comes to get the ball off the back 4. But when he does, no pass is on. We have no players that can play in between the lines. Hence the formation is rigid. Musa is another signing with no technical ability. All pace and nothing else. We took an idea that we were a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 team and ran with it, so we decided pace pace pace, direct direct direct was the way forward. Last season, we were one dimensional enough, but at times we could play pass and move. But in realising we had success as a counter attack team, we have totally over egged that pudding to the point its ruining the team, similar to the way we played around christmas time last season when we became a defend deep, hoof long ineffective team. Liverpool away etc. Its left us with a squad that has poor balance, and poor options to change things around.
foxy boxing Posted 8 November 2016 Posted 8 November 2016 teams know how we usually want to play and are changing their tactics accordingly like sitting in deeper to avoid the long ball over the top to Vardy. they know we have pace upfront and outwide so they stop the supply line to these players and are pushing up more on Morgan and Huth who don't seem quite as with it this season. we do need different tactics for games so as not to get pidgeon holed as one dimensional and need more facets to our game and be more dynamic in our approach.
