This year should have been all about us cementing our place as a top 10 club that could challenge top 6 when any of the top clubs slipped up. We should have bought in the best players in the league that the top 6 didn't want (Keane, sigurdsson etc) and the only signing we could possibly put in that category is Slimani. We have been way too complacent on how good last year was and are now not much better off than the start of last year Agreed, except the last sentance, where I would say we are worse off overall than the start of last year - no confidence, or tactics that are working oh and no Kante, effectively no record breaking star striker / the two Footballers of the Year.
Motty Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Perhaps we would be better off with groundhog day. Or would we not get it right even then?

Ranieri very happy and bullish about the squad. Says there's no weaknesses. Then it's the blind leading the bland. Weaknesses? To fix a problem you've first got to admit that something's wrong. There's more weakness in our team than in a geriatric home right now. Most have needed attending to for a long time and are well documented.
China Black Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Only two players brought in, and a few let go. Disappointing. Should have kept the players that we let go either permenantly or on loan, considering that a pigs ear has been made with the recruitment.
