My son has been sober since new years eve 2024 and is doing the Manchester half marathon on Sunday for Alchohol change uk. He has made Other massive lifestyle choices regarding diet. Now also running for his grandma who is on end of life care. He needs to be proud of himself. I gave up drinking after being diagnosed in June 25 with AF and hypertension. I feel so much better and rarely think about drinking. Have 0% guinness that's good, also different ciders usually on ice. I always knew I drank way to much to be healthy for me. I'm lucky I could just quit. I can understand other people who struggle it is not always straightforward. So just keep persevering. There is no right or wrong, just a battle that hopefully one day at a time you can win.
