How Do You Like To Imagine Your Own Demise?

Weird topic but fun to read through.

 

Those of you who want to go out being known for doing good had better get on with doing good from right now. Those who want to be at peace with family and friends better not get into any silly arguments either.

 

Those of you who want to be remembered, you'll probably only be remembered for at most 100 years. basically maybe a grand child will remember you as a feeble old dodderer and they'll be dead themselves within 100 years. Of course doing something fantastic or better still (for memory purposes) something criminally insane will get you remembered a little longer but not that much.

 

Our lives are but fleeting beats of a butterflies wings and we're remembered for only as long as those that loved us whilst we were alive live. What we've done adds up to nothing and we're forgotten.

 

Personally I imagine I'll die alone in some in some isolated house where nobody will even know it for some time. If I do happen to still be in contact with people I'll make sure I'm no burden and if I start to be I'll hire a small boat and drive out into the ocean until I run out of fuel and then either jump overboard or sit in the boat and wonder wtf I've done something this painfully stupid until I die.

I'd like to change me answer to heroin overdose. I've never tried it but I imagine it would be quite painless as you'd be so out of it.
