Hang on. It is still possible that a Spanish club can buy one of our players, until midnight tonight. Not sure they want Mahrez but can the club block all calls from Barcelona today?

Not getting silva would be a big disappointment but only losing 1 of our main men instead of 3 or 4 is not too shabby (mahrez and Spain yet to come maybe)

Could've been much worse but I still have mild concerns. Squad harmony has been massive over recent years and some big contributors to that have now left. Those incoming need to settle on and off the pitch quickly. I'm also slightly concerned at our current scouting. We seem to have resorted to going for Walsh's old names, where as he's really had his finger on the pulse at Everton. A lot also depends on the mindset of Mahrez and Gray, who seems permanently in a passive aggressive mood with the club. If those two knuckle down and Silva looks as good as DD then I think we have to be pleased though.

We have 4 wingers, all great options or potentially great options, IMO (obviously Musa is a matter of potential and also one of debate)

5 Strikers!  Only one of whom I would never play but can still do a job if we need him to

Pretty solid in CB dept. now, LB situation very good.

Only negative is Amertey is really our only back up for Danny S, unless some youth team chap comes up the ranks

 

We are good for the season with the squad to have a great cup run
