He's American.

He was a US citizen though I believe he gave it up.

He's English and a product of our culture and education system. If he was American he'd be a vulgar nepo baby businessman and criminal turned reality TV star.

Brits seem to me to have a tendency to claim good things as totally British (chicken tikka woo! Mo Farah woo!) and bad things as foreign (Boris Johnson boo! Royal Family boo!)

Mo Farah is Somalian.

Winston Churchill was American.

Happy now?

Winston Churchill was born in England: his mother was American but his father was British

The above discussion re the definitions of nationality is a good demonstration as to why the whole debate is in essence truly absurd, and even more absurd is the idea that quite a few people seem perfectly prepared to harm, kill and die in the name of it.

Most things these days are absurd tbh.

Stupidity seems to be a general trait of humanity.

To be fair quite a lot of people in history have harmed, killed and died precisely because they didn't want to be British.
