Mark Posted 13 October 2005 Share Posted 13 October 2005 http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=31...nel=premiership Piper picks up new injuryUnlucky Sunderland winger Matt Piper could face another operation after picking up a new ankle injury. Piper has been dogged by a series of injuries since arriving at Sunderland from Leicester three years ago. The 22-year-old is set to see a specialist over his latest injury and Black Cats boss Mick McCarthy fears he may have to go under the knife. "Matt has a problem with his ankle," McCarthy told the club's official website. "He might need an operation, we're having a look to see what we have to do." davieG Posted 13 October 2005 Share Posted 13 October 2005 Interesting to note the different attitude of posters to the plight of Piper & Morris, why is that?
Libertine Posted 13 October 2005 Share Posted 13 October 2005 Probably because we've seen Piper's talent, added to the fact that he's a Leicester lad.
Cobbo Posted 13 October 2005 Share Posted 13 October 2005 Interesting to note the different attitude of posters to the plight of Piper & Morris, why is that? Probably because we feel harshly done by having spent £200k on Morris for him to play a handfull of sub appearences, whereas Pipes came through our youth system and is a Leicester lad whom didn't want to leave us. King Kyle lcfc Posted 13 October 2005 Share Posted 13 October 2005 Maybe the mackems feel the same about Pipes but they payed £3million pounds for Matty so they're probably more pissed off

On that basis Piper, not being local to Sunderland and costing £3mill must be the most hated person ever to step foot inside the City of Sunderland. What a waste of money he's been for them. There's being injury prone and then there's Piper, who's on another level. Even Darren 'sicknote' Anderton had a better games per season ratio than Piper in his heyday!
Katy Posted 13 October 2005 Share Posted 13 October 2005 Hope you get back to what we know you can do Pipes albeit for Sunderland but still......he will go down as a total legend in my book for that goal against Spurs in the last league game at Filbo

Kis Kis Kisnorbo Posted 14 October 2005 Share Posted 14 October 2005 Thats a shame. He had great potential but has been well unlucky with injurys. I can remember a home game against chelsea were he rang rings round babayaro and desailly.

Hitesh Posted 15 October 2005 Share Posted 15 October 2005 I wouldnt want him to come back to Leicester. As much as I admire his talent he has been injrued for ages and hasnt had proper match action for a while. If he comes back them he will be as useful as Morris! I would like to see him back at leicester but only if he gets back to form!
