Similarly keepers will have to try to make a save regardless. It is rare that stuff happens, players play on when it is such a close call that VAR would be required. There will be far less big errors with VAR than without it Edited 16 January 2018 by foxes_rule1978

What if the flag had gone up (wrongly), referee blew his whistle and ihaeanacho stopped playing and trotted back without scoring. He would be onside and wasting a goalscoring chance. Pants. Fuchs sake, some people. That would happen with or without VAR anyway. How is VAR, given that it just gave us a goal that the lino incorrectly judged offside a bad thing? Some people will never be happy. 1
Marutimon Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Iheanacho looked like a totally different player after his scored the first goal. He then setup Slimani and scored two more. But also was more confident on the ball, held it up better, passed better, looked more interesting... What a difference a goal makes. 3
Vlad the Fox Posted 16 January 2018 Posted 16 January 2018 Once VAR goes full time can we get back to fancy pitch designs please. 1
