God told me to invade Iraq

Recommended Posts

Oh dear, what is going on inside this poor mans head.

President George W Bush told Palestinian ministers that God had told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq - and create a Palestinian State.

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"

Shudder, the planets gone religous god believing bonkers.

As for Bush: We all know that he's a stupid muppet led by the American Intelligence.

As for Lush: Your name rhymes with Bush. What a wonderful coincidence... lol And your posts are so

I heard this last week. It was probably said to appease the religious sections in the USA. He's run out of every other excuse. I peeked lush at your post and he says 'God WOULD tell me' , so he wasn't exactly hearing voices but listening out for them. I agree he's a loony for blaming the war on God. At least Bin Laden has said he was doing it for his God all along.

Talking about Bin Laden wasn't it said that New Orleans was retribution from God for their attacks on the Islamic world? Not heard any comment on the destruction in and around Islamabad.

Are these things really believed?

That's what I'm saying. Not much difference between either of them

Wasn't Joan Of Arc executed for something similar? Urging the army to take up arms?

This is also why I don't subscribe to any one religion. It would make me less able to look at things and then make an independent decision on my viewpoint.

Tottally agree. Because alot of voting americans believe in the god rubbish, if bush says god tol him, how can those voters say hes wrong.

I have fairly deeply held feelings about the meaning of "God" as a force for good, which have stood up to the tests of my time.

And my definition of that force may indeed be within the mind of George W Bush but it is his ILLUSION that a force for good might implore him to invade anyone.

If you believe that somehow the word of "God" (as the guidelines for approaching life) is, as passed down through man, based on the Commandments then the words "Thou Shalt Not Kill" are unambiguous, non negotiable.

"For the greater good", for instance, would be no argument or justification because it would offend the Commandment and raise the question "the greater good of whom?".

Would that both Bush and Bin Laden would understand this.

When billions of human inteligence (thousands of scientists) havnt provided one miliscule of evidence prooving any exsistence in any godly like creature of power, it is not only a problem when THE most powerful human on earth says he was told to kill under, thou shall not kill "law", it is a problem that the equivalent of the belief that flying pigs exist is equal.

IF only one human being believed in what we know as god, he/she would be locked up.

God, to me, has no identifiable material substance and therefore has no chance of being discovered, proven, whatever.

God to me is a mental phenomena whose very strength is in "his" combined, possibly electrically-charged, presence in millions of minds and possibly elsewhere.

I have never really developed these thoughts publicly (being non-academic) because it is no more than an opinion and it would probably be irresponsible.

It would encourage belief in something which, by definition, would be based on no more than a nebulous theory.

That theory could, inevitably, attract a following and to encourage a following in something intangible, almost certainly unproveable and also likely to be mistaken would be irresponsible.

As all scientists would say: "we need evidence".

You know Thrach, i wonder if billions really believe in the all powering god thing, or whether they just wana feel spiritual, and placing an X next to "do you believe in a god" on the census form, is their way of saying it?

I have this feeling "some sort of spirituality", in the form of electricity. Ive seen people wire themselves up and take high levels of electricity without feeling pain, and they say ghosts are connected to landline electrical currents. We all get electric shocks from time to time too.

Its cool that you speak out of these feelings, because whatever we believe in, has a mental belonging attached to it, and its good to express them. But your right, a scientist will seek proof in everything they do. Occams razor, "all things being equal, the simplest explanation tends to be the correct one".

swisspiss, put me on ignore, or if you cant bare to live without reading my posts, refrain from your ignorance, try to be positive dude.

When did God come into existence within the minds of Man?

Many thousands of years ago when there were no Governments to make laws and rules to live by.

People existed according to the climate for crops and whatever animal that was roaming on their lands. They could not understand seasons and so thought their actions would make a difference. Rules were made within the communities Gods came into the being. the people believing that if they made sacrifices or behaved the Gods would be kind to them.

So I believe that God/s exist within the conscience. Some peoples thoughts on what a sin is is different to others therefore live differently. I live by my own codes. I treat people the same no matter what their race religion or gender. I don't need a God or a church cleric to tell me what is right and wrong.

This is just my own personal view and I have no problem with people that do believe as long as they allow me my own way of living. If someone is born into a religious family and community it would be hard to change their way of thinking. They believe they are right in what they do and no amount of discussion logic or threats of 'My God is more powerful than yours' is going to change their minds. I respect this but I don't have to agree with it. It is so much easier taking a step back when you do not have prejudices.

god is in the rules

1. Play soccer without four lines because this is a fabrication of the heretics' international rules that stipulate using them and delineating them before playing.

2. International terminology that heretics and polytheists use, like "foul," "penalty," "corner," "goal," "out" and others, should be abandoned and not said. Whoever says them should be punished, reprimanded and ejected from the game. He should be publicly told, "You have imitated the heretics and polytheists and this is forbidden."

3. Do not call "foul" and stop the game if someone falls and sprains a hand or foot or the ball touches his hand, and do not give a yellow or red card to whoever was responsible for the injury or tackle. Instead, it should be adjudicated according to Sharia rulings concerning broken bones and injuries. The injured player should exercise his Sharia rights according to the Koran and you must bear witness with him that so-and-so hurt him on purpose.

4. Do not follow the heretics, the Jews, the Christians and especially evil America regarding the number of players. Do not play with 11 people. Instead, add to this number or decrease it.

5. Play in your regular clothes or your pajamas or something like that, but not colored shorts and numbered T-shirts, because shorts and T-shirts are not Muslim clothing. Rather they are heretical and Western clothing, so beware of imitating their fashion.

6. If you have fulfilled these conditions and intend to play soccer, play to strengthen the body in order to better struggle in the way of God on high and to prepare the body for when it is called to jihad. Soccer is not for passing time or the thrill of so-called victory.

7. Do not set the time of play at 45 minutes, which is the official time of the Jews, Christians and all the heretical and atheist countries. This is the time used by teams that have strayed from the righteous path. You are obliged to distinguish yourself from the heretics and the corrupted and must not resemble them in anything.

6. Do not play in two halves. Rather play in one half or three halves in order to completely differentiate yourselves from the heretics, the polytheists, the corrupted and the disobedient.

9. If neither of you beats the other, or "wins" as it is called, and neither puts the leather between the posts, do not add extra time or penalties until someone wins. No, instead leave the field, because winning with overtime and penalty kicks is the pinnacle of imitating heretics and international rules.

10. If you play soccer, do not appoint someone to follow you called a "referee," since there is no need for him after doing away with international rules like "foul," "penalty," "corner" and others. His presence would be in imitation of the heretics, Jews and Christians and would follow international rules.

11. Young crowds should not gather to watch when you play because if you are there for the sake of sports and strengthening your bodies as you claimed, why would people watch you? You should make them join your physical fitness and jihad preparation, or you should say: "Go proselytize and seek out morally reprehensible acts in the markets and the press and leave us to our physical fitness."

12. If you finish playing soccer, do not talk about your game and say, "We were better than the opponent," or "So-and-so plays well" and so on. Instead be concerned with your bodies and their strength and muscles, and say, "We played only to drill in running, attacking and retreating, and to prepare for jihad in the name of God on high."

13. You should spit in the face of whoever puts the ball between the posts or uprights and then runs in order to get his friends to follow him and hug him like players in America or France do, and you should punish and reprimand him, for what is the relationship between celebrating, hugging and kissing and the sports that you are practicing?

14. You should use two posts instead of three pieces of wood or steel that you erect in order to put the ball between them, meaning that you should remove the crossbar in order not to imitate the heretics and in order to be entirely distinct from the soccer system's despotic international rules.

15. Do not do what is called "substitution," that is, taking the place of someone who has fallen, because this is a practice of the heretics in America and elsewhere.

lol
