They came to defend and we had a lot of possession (which we are never comfortable with) ...   several 'stars' didn't shine and Grey was very poor ...   hard to blame James for all that.   They got a spawny goal and we missed a few ...   otherwise it would have been a different story.   On the face of it it was surprising that neither Iborra or more so Silva didn't get a look in, but for now ...   In Claude I still trust.

I did think Puel was the right man for the job not very long ago. Seriously disappointed today.

Don't get why James is a regular starter when we have Iborra and Silva on the bench. Shinj not getting a look-in while Gray starts. Amartey dropped for Simpson. Morgan over Drago. None of it makes much sense to me.

I think we have to improve soon or things have to change again.

Agree with this part of your post completely. Really cannot understand his rationale for some of the selections over the past few games. Stoke came and parked the bus and our answer was to constantly launch the ball to Vardy in the air against two huge centre halves, whilst the technical players we needed to keep the ball on the floor and unlock the Stoke defence were sat observing in the dugout.

I think Puel has set a dangerous precedent over the past few games by dropping Amartey and Dragovic, whilst constantly sticking with James. Sends out completely the wrong message to those player's aspiring to break into the first XI by effectively saying that they'll be dropped back to the bench the moment one of the PL Champions comes back into the mix irrespective of form.
