Once the players have settled what do you see our lineup being?

We are not gonna be playing 3ATB anytime soon. My guess is Puel will try a Vardy-kelechi partnership that will end by week 8 at most with Marc starting over Gray and diabate.

In my eyes, while its not certain we'll play 3 CBs or 2 Strikers; i'm convinced that there will be 3 CMs, with Maddison being at the tip of the diamond.

Puel might try to be adaptable and play 3 CBs away but 2 at home with 2 strikers, but suppose we'll find out 10 games in.

 

I'm excited regardless, the most optimism I've ever had going into a season.

whats interesting for me is with the emergence of several good younger players - the best of the old squad and some very promising signings i can pick

I think it will be an interesting season and hard to predict which way it will go

But i do have a good feeling about the squad - only concern is vardy aside where will the goals come from

I do think the front three will rotate a bit though and you'll see the likes of Gray, Ghezzal and Diabate involved too. Maybe even a 3-4-2-1.

Albrighton I expect to be back-up wing back.

 

The three at the back talk is boring but now the window has settled it looks like the obvious choice to suit our squad which is overloaded in ball playing centre backs, two full backs who love to get forward and a lack of depth in attacking midfielder.

 

We'll have to wait and see but if you want to get your best players on the pitch this formation can get Soyuncu, Evans and Iheanacho on at the same time. That could well be our stock formation with possibly Gray or Ghezzal on for Iheanacho if we're not in a game when we expect to dominate possession. Away at the elite clubs especially we probably can't afford to play Vardy and Iheanacho in the same team.
