Its not fifa.

And I'll double down in your support with Taggart, Elliott and Walshy.

Don’t mind the 3 at the back with wing backs, but if Morgan is going to be in involved in that system, I’ll give up till the end of the season. It’s just going to end in tears and a bad atmosphere

You win!

point is, it’s not all about pace like it is on fifa; so we can get that out our system!

Worth giving it more than one game given that we have nothing to play for.

If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work and we either double-down on it over the summer or we write it off as a low-risk experiment which didn’t work out.

As other's have said, I'd favour it away more than at home. Especially as it's Fulham too

But Vardy's potential injury may force his hand. As I'm not sure Iheancho and Okazaki are exactly a potent partnership we could put out! If we would go with 2 strikers

In all seriousness I think the back three will only be played at away games, can’t see him doing so at home.

You could be right. In theory it should give us more defensive cover whilst allowing Chilwell and Ricardo to still get into advanced positions.

I felt Ricardo did so today but Chilwell was frustrating in stopping before he got to the box, sometimes drifting inside. For me he should've been advancing further forward staying wide left. He did more towards the end, and we got more penetration.

Wes didn't have a great game, so it would be nice to see Söyüncü play if we repeat the formation. He should have better passing, and whilst he's shown he can make the odd rash mistake, he needs game time to develop more consistency.

At top level coaching you do 1 of 2 things.

You play a style or formation according to the strengths of your players or you stick to your philosophy and bring in new players to the positions you can’t retrospectively fit the incumbents to such as Guardiola.

Our squad screams out for 3 at the back plus wingbacks. Yes we can play other formations but this one suits us best in many respects, those being the amount of centre backs we have, the depth of attacking fullbacks - Chillwell, Ricardo, Amartey, Albrighton - to name 4.

That said, we need to have a midfield and front line to benefit off the defensive mass and opportunities from the wings.

It’s going to take a while but with Benkovic and Soyuncu coming in we will have vast resources for the defence in this formation and with the attacking players we have, I believe, over time we’ll have a phenomenal force to unleash on opposing defences and get subtle nuances right over the rest of the year.

Nect season should be special.

Maybe if you are managing Celtic v the semi-pro Scottish teams, you could play three slow centre backs, but Rodgers should have known you can't play like that in the P/L. There must be at least one pacy centre back in case the wing backs get caught up field.

Therefore, if Rodgers wants to play 3 at the back, which I personally like, he must include Soyuncu or someone that quick.

He must also play two solid midfielders in this system as Tieleman's and Maddison are too lightweight.
