Wow, they put basketball in a casino game:

This is getting ridiculous - the actual game becomes less and less important, it's literally all about making money, not making games any longer.

 

Sports games are doomed, and the rest will follow.

There's definitely going to be some sort of huge backlash and possibly some legal actions taken toward these companies if this is where they are heading.

 

I'm sticking with NBA2K19. It only has a plinko board. Which was always my favourite game on The Price is Right 

 

Also, I only buy basketball games about every 5 years

Legislation is coming. As companies are not competent or considerate enough to regulate themselves. 

 

That trailer for NBA2K20 is a farce. It's at least simulated gambling so why doesn't it warrant at least a T for Teen rating? 

 

The problem is the casual gaming audience that mostly take part in sports games. When they tried to **** with the hard core market (eg Star Wars Battlefront 2) you see what happens. The problem is casual gamers will always look to spent money rather than grinding if the option to purchase to skip is an option.

sooooooo, this is kind of exciting although I’d like to see what direction they’ll take it. Seems like the new Star Wars game is getting good reviews so there may be hope yet!
