cisono Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 it said on sky that it was a poor backheader from maybury but barber said mccarthy so who knows Barber says McCarthy a lot...
jakemay Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 Hi guys, Plymouth fan here. The pitch was very waterlogged, but check this! The referee asked both of the captain's opinions, and they both wanted to continue and yet the referee still abandoned it! And for those that saying ti wasn't waterlogged, it was! (though not dangerous to the players as the ref put it) Some match stats, so you can get a better idea, of how we pretty much outplayed you. Was a bit scrappy due to the wet though This was written on pafc.co.uk the official site HT: Argyle 1-0 Leicester - Match abandoned Chadwick(28) Match abandoned by the referee with Argyle well on top and adapting to the conditions much better than Leicester... Anish Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 it said on sky that it was a poor backheader from maybury but barber said mccarthy so who knows Who would you rather trust? A bloke who thought Man Utd youngster Rossi 'sounded like an Ice Cream seller' and had never heard of Liam Miller before he scored for Man U in the cup? Having said that, it probably was McCarthy!
Louise Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 Of course, I suspect this will mean Joey misses the Soton game now and MDV is available.... Both will be out for Soton I'm afraid.
cisono Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 Having said that, it probably was McCarthy! Probably... if nothing else, because of the many headers by him in any game...
MC Prussian Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 With this display in the first half, Craig Levein will have to get a very good message across to get the boys motivated and/or find an appropriate playing system on the field for the upcoming match(es). Outplayed by Plymouth who are without a couple of their best players? Cheese! We got lucky this night and can be happy that the match didn't go on for the full 90+ minutes. I didn't mind rain before, but I like it even more now!

McCarthy according to Gilbert the Filbert
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 It sounded like horrible conditions to play in and you can't really judge a football match when it's raining that much. Obviously I feel sorry for Plymouth fans who were winning but for us we get another chance, which i'm obviously over the moon about. I was impressed wo see the formation Levein chose, it was Chelsea-esque and with attacking players who wouldn't make it look like a 4-5-1 (Smith and Hume) Back to The Walkers on saturday for a big game that i'm looking forward to. We are due a good performance and a win will keep us on the right track, excellent stuff.
Louise Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 McCarthy according to Gilbert the Filbert GTF doesn't go to away matches, he writes reports by virtue of the radio commentary. Someone on the 'other' site who went says it was Maybury.

Guest Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 I've just got back (we booked a hotel for the night, and took extra time off work ). I'm not a happy bunny.

Louise Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 Anish and Louise won't be happy then! I'll see for myself on EMT tonight.
Lester LXXIV Posted 2 November 2005 Posted 2 November 2005 Who made the mistake Paddy or Maybury? ...Never mind the sympathetic ear hey Ric! Instead of a "welcome back to dry land" or "Oh i'm really gutted for ya" it's a "Who made the mistake Paddy or Maybury?"
