I remember thinking at the time that we were fortunate with the league's decicion. As we found out during the next few days (no social media then kiddies) some Derby fans who were already as far as the touchline with 3 or 4 minutes to go were kicking out at Fulham players as they ran by.

Common sense prevailed & there was  no Derby v Fulham replay. I'm not sure that would be the case nowadays.

Unbelievable how that match was played with all those fans by the pitch.

Crap quality but 07.56 when the commentator says "And the Fulham player was actually tackled by someone in the crowd!" lol

We should have beaten a struggling Burnley ( with youngsters Lee Dixon and Trevor Steven playing) but Lineker was out injured and we rarely threatened. Filbert Street was packed at 2.00pm

We struggled all afternoon and the longer the game went on the more nervy we got unlike the win at Fulham a few weeks earlier.

I don't ever remember the Kop as full as that match. I was crushed several times on the crash barriers and left gasping for breath. Very dangerous times.

It was the only game ever I didn’t want Leicester to score, I was only 11 and stood at the front of pen2, like you say the crushing was very scary and I was a terrified kid

I never stood behind a crash barrier again after that experience. Always stand in front. Obvious really but sometimes it takes something for the penny to drop.
