Used to buy, home and away, when I was  younger, mainy yellow, red(yes red), and white as away seeing  the old kits selling now as retro, which makes me smile

This is an interesting one. This was going to be our next admiral away kit ( after the similar version) but Jock Wallace decided he wanted to go with Umbro. 
In those days the managers had a big say in it and I heard there was often incentives to help the deal go through. 
Think Admiral we’re making massive strides ahead and so Umbro started hitting back.

 

The only difference was going to be the reverse of the colouring on the admiral badges.

 

I wonder if one of you clever folk could reverse the colouring on the home version so we could see what the home version was going to be like? 
 

It must have been pretty close as this is a player version, it’s heavy cotton and has the correct style number on the back, so this could well have been the ones we wore instead of the Umbro one.

Probably not everyone's favourite, pretty basic, but was the first home shirt I remember having, so definitely one of mine.

This was worn by Neil Lewis v Reading. The long sleeved version was only worn in one of the three games it was used. It is number 11
