My son wears my old Jade & Navy one now. He's the age I was when it came out!

The shirt Neil Lennon made his debut in!

Off topic, but I lived in Berkshire then so trundled along for that game. All I can remember of an awful match was Lenny burning the pitch up in anger at half-time  as he waited to get on from the bench. He was like a man tormented, he wanted to be out there so much.

We wore two styles in the same games during this era. The one below being the second with two buttons.
The pic of Frank may well of originally been the away shirt ( we wore white at home) from 1973 but with the white V cut out.

i have the white version and I am certain it is the 1973 shirt with the V cut out.

Yes this one (74/75/76ish I think) is also iconic.

I actually have one of these which is Alan Birchenall's no 10 match worn shirt and it is autographed by the squad of that time. Shilton, Worthington, Weller, Glover, Sammels, etc.

I'll see if I can get it out of the attic and post a photo on here.

Emotive thread this, as we all get such attachment to a shirt.  But you mentioned Lenny Glover. I remember sitting on that stubby little white-washed wall under the floodlights as he glided last with those buttons shining. I could smell the linament, he was that close, and knew at that moment that I was hooked. 45 years later it feels as fresh as as if it had happened yesterday.

I have an idea for a print design which requires 15 of the most popular players or goalkeeper shirts. I have these 6 of mine but they are just ideas, would welcome lots of photos of your favourites to choose from.

I've got bottom middle too and for me it's the best one. Bloke offered me 200 quid for mine at the athletico away champs league game

Didn't he concede a penalty too?

Absolutely no idea! I wasn’t even that bothered about the game in those days - it was all

about the theatre and drama of the occasion.

I have that Keller one.  Got a few raised eyebrows when I wore it to the Emirates! The funny thing is that my Dad deliberately bought a big one for me to grow into at the time, and it's still a bit too big for me, today :P

It's retired now that I've got a Schmeichel one, though...

I don't mind that gold kit above and each to their own, of course.

But this was a beauty.

Ignore the first season we had in it!

I still have this shirt. As gold kits go, it's good!

I'm being picky but I don't like the badge being central, certainly not when it means the brand logo is squeezed in centrally too.

I also still have this yellow shirt and a couple of pairs of Fox Leisure shorts that i keep in a drawer at home...

Is that the Doog trying it on there?

I used to have both, the Keller one and the teal and navy. Bit gutted they were lost to time.

I can't find a picture atm but as well as this one, the white version is also one of my favourites.

Not for me, Clive!

Bought this one in 76 think it was. At the time, replica shirts were still in their infancy - in fact I think it was Admiral who more or less started that industry (another example of LCFC being something of a trailblazer). First airing was at Maine Rd where I hadn't really thought through the fact that it identified me as a Leicester fan at a hundred paces. Caught some serions flack, but I've loved this one ever since.

Anything LG, Joma, Topps Tiles, shiny gold can get in the bin for me.

I've actually liked most shirts from the last decade, design wise. Shame the material is such low quality

Probably more of an association thing tbf. The other 3 though...we could win the league (again 🤗) in those and I wouldn't change my mind!

All away kits under O'Neill were pretty mediocre, the only one of the 90's that I liked was the jade and navy. We had some superb goalkeeper kits though in that era.

Had this one, played five a side in.
